Tamiya X-22 Clear

Recommended Posts

Since you can no longer find the Tamiya Clear Spray cans, I decided to purchase a couple of bottles of Tamiya X-22 Clear to try and airbrush it. Has anybody used this before? Looks thin enough to spray without thinning but does it need thinning? I have never tried airbrushing Tamiya paints before so help suggestion or comments are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

This was my first time using X-22 as a final clear on a body:

It went on really beautifully and is super glossy. I recall thinking that it was just about perfect in ease of application and in the final result. I did have a couple of spots where it ran because I sprayed too much, but overall it came out great.
