Ira
PAINTING THE HOUSE! This is a Great kit. The Plastic is molded into 4 different colors plus clear. I painted the house with my own flat colors, then added washes and sprayed with Dullcoat. The Roof was sprayed with Grey Primer, then I brushed on The Detailer-Black. Some Dullcoat was then sprayed on the Roof. I replaced most of the plastic kit windows with thin clear plastic sheet. I did use the kits Bay Windows. Four different styles of Curtains came with the House. I cut open some of the Curtains so we can see inside. Then I taped them inside of the Windows. Here is what it looks like after the Windows and Curtains have been added. More Coming... Edited September 25, 2013 by Ira

Foxer
The saucer looks a little generic ... it's a GM-Mars Saucer? ... what's the mileage?, HP?, how many passengers? Your builds are such fun, Ira ... and looking great!
Ira
THE BIG BASE! This Base and another Flat Base came with Plastic Display Cases for 25th scale cars. This is the extra Base, I'm using it for the House. I fit the House Kit's Base on this one and Cut-Out an access hole. Here is the Grey House Base glued in place on the Big Base. I cut-out Sheet Plastic to bring the Black Base height up to the House Base, so they are level & flat. Then I sprayed some Grey Filler-Primer over the Base. I needed this larger Base because I will be fitting the switch and batteries inside. More Coming...

Ira
Oh boy !! I remember that movie. Pretty bad. Typical 50"s sci-fi. Looking forward to see what your mind comes up with. Yeah if you Google "Earth Verses the Flying Saucers" you will see several of Ray Harryhausen's Movie Models...
Ira
THE PEOPLE ARE COMING! I found some old HO Scale Pre-Painted Metal figures in my stash. These are Weston Figures, I found a few of these Great Figures on Ebay too. They come on cardboard with a Rectangular Clear Cover, Save the Covers! The Clear Rectangular Cover is the Perfect size for HO Scale Doors or Windows! Here is the guy glued into the Cover, with the Cover taped in place. He is a little hard to photograph, but here he is in the House! More Coming...

Ira
ON BASE! Before gluing the House together I taped some Tan colored paper behind the open curtains. This gives the illusion of an interior wall seen through the window. Here are the 4 walls glued in place on the New Base! This House will be going through a lot of Stress, so I am adding interior bracing to keep it together. The Big Round Tube added quite a bit of strength to the structure. More Coming... Ira
CONCRETE WORK! I am going to add a Patio in the back yard, define the Driveway Lines and add some Sidewalk Detail. I started by measuring and drawing the lines for the Patio. Next I started Scribing the lines. The first line defined the little Grass area between the Driveway and the Stairs. Here is the same area after all the Lines have been Scribed. Here are the new Patio Lines! More Coming... Ira
The saucer looks a little generic ... it's a GM-Mars Saucer? ... what's the mileage?, HP?, how many passengers? Your builds are such fun, Ira ... and looking great! Thanks Mike! The Saucer is a replica of the Saucers from the movie "Earth Verses The Flying Saucers". The Saucers seem to change size, or there are different sizes of Saucers in the movie. This one is HO Scale, it would probably hold a lot of Martians... Ira
A LITTLE DIRT & GRASS! I found a bag of HO Scale Grass at our New Hobby Shop, Fundemonium Hobbies! The Grass is very realistic, it can be applied to the model with paint or glue. It's kind of like, working with flocking. Here you can see it pretty good. Instead of just one color it comes with several all in the mix! I also got a bag of Dirt at our New Hobby Shop! I drilled holes for Trees to be added later. Then I painted a Brown Circle around each hole and sprinkled Dirt over the paint. More Coming...
