Prince Ital Mike
Hallo everybody, after long summer I managed to finish this two models - Chevy Corvette and Chevy Cameo Pickup... Because they were both introduced in 1955, I thought it could be nice to show them together... cobraman
I like your builds except for the non body colored hoods. Just one guys opinion.
Speedfreak
I would have to agree with Ray on the color of the hoods. Otherwise, it looks like you put a lot of work into these builds.
KingSix
Awesome builds, very clean, but I'd have to agree with previous comments about the hoods. Makes them look almost "unfinished" .. Just an opinion , and you know what they say about those ...
the goon
You've got 2 nice builds there Not sure about the mismatched hoods. Great job. Mark
Danno
Nice . . . with the exception of the hoods. Is that a local fad there? Excellent detailing regardless. Edited October 17, 2013 by Danno

PappyD340
Very NICE builds Michael, they look great from a build perspective, but I have to go along with the general consensus about the hoods.
realgone58
Love the colors, but not the white hoods. Nice builds. Paint the hoods
Prince Ital Mike
Wow, so many replies, thank you very much for the feedback! I totally accept your opinion on the white hoods which were supposed to be common feature of both cars, but the outcome really may seem unfinished. I was basically satisfied with the models before, but now I'm really thinking about painting the hood of the Cameo metallic brown, just to see the difference
lower99
2 cool builds.... the hood....in the cameo it Looks good, in the Corvette....hmmmm...not really. All in all two very clean builds!
Shardik
A nice pair of builds. I understand that the white hoods may be a local styling trend, in fact I've seen that another current European style is rusted hoods paired with large roof racks. No accounting for taste as they say . Actually, I think the cameo looks fine this way but the 'vette is another story. Also, the panel lines on the Corvette are a little heavy. Maybe you could touch them up with some thinned down body color paint to make it a little more subtle without losing the effect entirely. Prince Ital Mike
Thank you for your comments. You're right with the panel lines Johann, thanks for the tip.
briggs2012
They look great! I'm building a Cameo myself and I'm nearly at the glass stage. I've heard the glass on these kits is a nightmare. Would you care to share anything regarding that please? You seem to have a perfect fit with the glass in your truck.
rocklandrambler
I will agree with everyone else and state while the quality of your models is GREAT the mismatched hoods should be changed. What no one else seem to pick up on is that the Corvette was introduced in 1953 and was available only in white. The first V-8 Corvette was 1955. Maybe I was lucky, the glass parts in my kit were OK. I will agree with everyone else and state while the quality of your models is GREAT the mismatched hoods should be changed. I am definitely not expert , but on the box was written '55 Corvette...
