Brutalform
After viewing the fantastic builds of Rod's 64 promo Galaxie, and Clifford's 30 year old build of a 64 lightweight, I got the itch to build one. This one is pretty much waiting to get paint on the body, and interior, then final assembly. Love those old FORDS!!!
PappyD340
Very NICE Tom, brings back memories, my first car was a 64 galaxie 500 convertable 289 HP 3 speed red on red, ahhh those were the days!!

Brutalform
John, its the AMT kit. Just had to remove the hood. The chassis is a 60 starliner, and the engine is from the T Bolt kit. I have to get another Starliner chassis, because I want to do a 63 Galaxie next.
Brutalform
Primed and painted the Fords interior today. Primed it with a gray primer, because the Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red was too bright, and the darker primer toned it down a bit. Kind of looks like a real red interior from the 60s now. The roll bar was primed white, so it would have a different shade from the rest of the interior. Tomorrow, I will give the tub a shot of dull coat, and start to detail it some. Brutalform
Thanks Carl & Larry. Me too. My Dad had a 64, that was maroon, with a black interior. I like all the old Fords, even though I am bit of a GM guy. I like the 64 best. Edited October 26, 2013 by Brutalform
Brutalform
Got the interior finished, except for the 5 point harness, from SMBC, and maybe an aftermarket tach. Going to let it rest for today, as it seems everything is going wrong, and I don't want to make any mistakes.
Dan Helferich
I love the stance! Great project. Does the '64 interior bucket fit the '60 chassis or did you perform some modifications? This swap is on my to do list, I have the teardrop hood for a '64. My second car was a black '64 Ford with a red interior, 289 3 speed. It was a great car. Brutalform
No, no real modifications. Just some sanding on the 64s tubs underside around the trans tunnel. Edited October 29, 2013 by Brutalform

berr13
I like it, and I'm looking forward to the finished product. Where'd you find the headers? What color do you have in mind?

Thanks. The headers are from the AMT 67 Chevelle Pro Street, that came in the Street Machines Superset. I must have tried about four different sets of headers. Plan on going "pure white".
