So, I'm setting out to create the closest replica I can. Winter is coming, which means it's too bloody cold to work outside on the Golf.. so it's model time I'm gonna open and fabricate my own boot in the front, first time doing anything like this so it'll be fun. So, a bit of progress. I stuck on the tunes; and set up the model desk for workin'. iPad with reference pics at the ready! So, after seeing this picture; I saw that there is a line that isn't there beside the slot under the light. So, I scribed my own line in; Then after scribing it over a lot, I got it off. Then I got a start on the painting process: This also shows the colour scheme - White with Tan interior. I'm going to London for my first holiday in years on Monday for a week, hopefully I'll have more progress before then. If not, blame the GTI! Thanks for looking, all comments appreciated.
