This is what I built for the 2013 Cannonball Run CBP .I built it to look like an old rusty Duster that would be lucky to keep up on the Interstates .With a Viper chassis and a V10 hidden under the body ,it should Edited November 2, 2013 by Road Runner

Ron Hamilton
Now that is fantastic. My Mom's forst new car was a 1971 Duster, (F7) Sherwood Green, with a 225, automatic, and not much else. It was something like this one. I am going to so a model of her car, one of these days. Your build may be the one that will take me over the edge. Chuck Most
Love it! I remember the commercial- I think it was for batteries. It had sounds of expensive cars cranking over but not starting, then an announcer described all the battery's features, then along came the $50 Duster, which fired right up. TooOld
Now that's pretty cool Pat ! Beautiful (?) job of weathering . I like the little details like the quarter windows . I had one just like that ( with no engine ) sitting in my driveway one summer , but I paid $75 for it !

Skydime
Pat, I really like your Duster. You did a great job on weathering and that Viper chassis under it brings a smile when I see it there. It seems to belong there. It's nothing you did but, I am surprised the Viper underpinnings didn't bring the car down to the ground further. Good thing they didn't or that would have ruined the look you were going for. The70judgeman
Great details...weathering, concept, AND the open rear wing window. Fond memories of the one my family had, a dark green '71 Gold Duster with the Slant 6.

kobuzz
I sure would love to see a step by step for your weathering process. It's probably the best I've seen.
Tom Geiger
Very very cool weathering job on that Duster. I love the choice of replaced panels and the quarter windows too. The summer of 1977 I had the opportunity to buy a 1976 Duster from a girl I knew who had bought it new and got overwhelmed with the payments. It was silver with a red bucket interior, console and red pin stripes. Remember, that was back when the Ford Granada had every car copying the silver and red theme. Slant six auto car with air conditioning. Low miles and $1500 would get her out of trouble. Of course I didn't have the $1500 and my father vetoed it!
