Cheap Sunglasses
Hey there, i finally got a bit of time to post something ! So I'm working on this '68 dodge, decided to go with an old weathered look. good survivor car not to much rust and will have a number matching engine lol I painted the car with a metallic tan color form dupli-color. then did the weathering with oil paint, finished off with dullcote. and here's my progress so far. charlie8575
That paint needs some serious compounding! Very nicely done. Charlie Larkin
Sixgunner68
Yeah, this forum is for model cars, not real ones. All kidding aside, you have some serious skills!!! These are the kind of builds that make me want to throw out all my kits and take up stamp collecting.

Jantrix
Whoa. Man I do love it when we get a new member and they bring that level of expertise to the table. That is insanely realistic work. Welcome to the forum.
1972coronet
Peter , your '68 R/T is so realistic that it's uncanny ! The way that the paint is 'bleached' (out here in the southwest , it's referred to as "sun bleached") on the roof , decklid and hood , is perfection ! Keep up the great work ! Furiousgeorge
That's awesome work! The Charger is one of my personal favorite kits. How did you do the glass like that? I've always wanted to do a weathered build, and yours is very inspiring!

tubbs
please send it to me and I will prime it and repaint it and make it look brand new......... i'm just jealous. one heck of a build so far, probably gonna look really crappy and worn when you get an interior and chassis under it. Monty
Welcome to our board! This may be one of the best weathered projects I've seen this year. I hope you'll favor us with engine, chassis & interior shots as well. Once this project's finished, maybe you could post a brief outline on your use of oil paints in our Tips, Tricks & Tutorials section.
