Is there a decent and relatively easy trailer out there that you guys would recommend to a newbie? It will go behind a Revell snap KW.

You could go with a Flat Deck, or Logging Trailer.

Most of the AMT semi-trailers are relatively easy. Let's face it, they're just a box with wheels. So the external post van, dry van, or flatbed would be fine. If you want simple I'd steer clear of the AMT Tank Trailer. What a nightmare! The Wilson Livestock trailer is nice, too; but because the fifth wheel on the KW is fixed, the rear of the frame hits the belly of the trailer.

Here are a couple of examples with the Revell USA snap KW W900:

I thought I had one with the external post van, but I can't seem to find it.

James, nice trucks! I'm looking for a box trailer moreso than a flatbed. I saw a Testors kit on eBay, but based on what you guys have said, maybe I should look at the AMT klits.

Thanks for compliment, Oscar. I've never built one of the Testors/Lindberg/IMC trailers, so I cannot comment on them.

One thing you will need to do is make the hole in the Revell-Monogram fifth-wheel a little bigger to accept the AMT kingpin.

Awe, now you guys have gone and done it. You've made me want to build a big rig.

Is there any car carrier kits out there, or do I need to find a score on E-overpay?

Hey, Oscar, I'm with the other guys in that the AMT flatbed would be the best kit for you to get after, next.....It's simplicity and relatively low price would be a good fit for you.....And, yes, the Testors kits are pretty lame.....Totally don't recommend those....But, even the new Moebius 53' trailer is pretty straight forward.....Just might cost a little more than you may want....Around $45....Still not bad for what you get, though....

This Italeri container is not to bad to build, the walls, floor, and roof are all two pieces that have to be glued together to get the final length, but they fit together pretty easy. Of course, the frame and wheels will not be like mine are, the rear axle has a spread between them as it comes in the kit because it is based of a European trailer frame. I wanted mine to be an American frame, so I cut the front axle mounts from the frame and moved them back to look like the chassis frames here. The great thing too is the container is removable, so you can either have it on the chassis or just have the bare chassis on the back to make it look like your KW is heading to the port to pick up another container.

Unfortunately, you will probably have to find one on ebay, and it probably cost you near $100 or more. There is one currently there for $77

The kit is from Revell of Germany, and I think in one release it may have also been released in a Testors box.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the recommendations. I ended up getting the AMT flatbed and van trailers along with a snap Pete. Now if I could just decide what color(s) to paint them.

Ah, colors. Sometimes that's the hardest decision.

yes, color choice does seem to be the hardest part of the build sometimes, lol.

Oscar, for what it's worth, on the two box trailers i have built so far, the 'tabs' on the floor part of the trailers don't fit the 'slots' in the trailer sides, so i cut them off and 'eyeball' the floor location when gluing together.
