maltsr
Finally got one of my Holy Grails. Not in the best condition, but hopefully salvageable. Body is unpainted, steering wheel is missing so will have to raid the partsbox. Came with only three original wheels/tyres (free to anyone who asks), but I already had different rolling stock planned.... disabled modeler
I could use the wheels/tires from it. I am a wagon nut. Edited February 10, 2014 by disabled modeler
W-409
This will be an interesting build! I just completed the same kit a couple of weeks ago. Your wheel and tire choice looks much better than mine, I can't wait to see how it turns out. Are you going to use the kit's original interior that is...Well, a bit simplified. I scratchbuilt new door panels and trunk for mine and modified other parts. It turned out pretty good, and it was not an impossible task to do. freakshow12
I really like seeing these builds of stuff I would likely not build myself. Great work

maltsr
Finally got around to building this as an entry for a wagon build in another group. I'm building this one OOB (other than rolling stock) because I have got my hands on an unbuilt kit for a more detailed version. Anyways, painted with a base coat of Tamiya Gloss Alumnium and panels in Light Gunmetal.... ...followed by clear red..
Tom Geiger
Paul, don't forget the two chrome strips across the back glass. You could add strips directly to the back window, the kit doesn't have it.
Modlbldr
Beautiful paint work. Makes me think of the paint job I want to accomplish on my 41 Chevy pickup, but in shades of blue. Later-

Bob Ellis
I have to see how that tail gate and window work in real life. Too bad this kit is now missing.

Bob Ellis
I just checked out the '61 F85 wagon. It appears some of the F85s had those chrome strips on the rear window and some not. So, building the kit either way is correct. I never owned or knew anybody that owned this car, but it appears these chrome pieces are part of an optional opening rear window.
