MonoPed
Does anyone produce reproduction parts for the old AMT slot car kit? I recently acquired this one (thanks Gary!), but it's a bit of a glue bomb, with the wheels and tires being the worst parts. Also, does anyone produce decals for these cars? Thanks... sfhess
I have an unmolested Hussein kit from that AMT series.
Muncie
That’s a good find - better than most that are out there. I wish AMT would reissue these old CanAm kits - they make good looking models.
MonoPed
So far my hunt has come up with... nothing. I had no idea this little car was so rare.
sportandmiah
Try electricdreams.com or professormotor.com as they both deal in 60s era model cars.
jbwelda
it would probably be best to save a search on ebay for it and see if parts cars come up. I do come across them occasionally. also check with fred stern (sorry don't know contact info I used to mailorder from him) because he gets in lots of odd kits and parts and may well be able to help you. its too bad someone doesn't repop these and the Hussein as AMT doesn't seem to be interested in the job jb
Casey
The styrene tires should be relatively easy to find. Not many people want those, and they can usually be found in great shape for that very reason. maybe put a want ad up in the Wanted section and see what happens?
