mcdub13 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 So I started this build awhile ago and got discouraged because it wasnt as realistic as i wanted. I finally decided to pick it back up and just finish it and chock it up as a learning experience. This was my first fabricated frame truck so hopefully i can learn for when i build my prostreet little red express. Let me know what u think. As of right now im 4 linking the rear for a bag on bar set up. Also it will be getting a functioning audio system with a custom made box
Ray_Ray Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Very cool build! Reminds me of a truck built several years ago by a guy down here in Texas that I know. I like seeing that rocker panel on the ground!
mcdub13 Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Me too man i love lowriders always have. I wish i could have done its scalce but it will still be a cool shelf peice
1 bad55 stan Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Looks fine to me,You can never have em too low,Good start Mike...
Platerpants Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Interesting project and nice start but.... Keep it up i may not like low riders but the project will be fun to watch
Skydime Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) This looks like a really cool project. I like anything low bagged or juiced. Those wheels look similar to the ones from a die cast I am using on a Silverado. Excuse my ignorance but, where did you find the longbed for this truck? i recall the SRT kit having a short bed. mcdub13 Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 This is actually two kits the front half of the cab and hood are the vts ram model kit. The back half you see in black is from a ram 2500 snap together kit . I was going to use the short bed from the white kit but liked the look of the long bed
Skydime Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I totally forgot about the snap kit. Yeah, I like the long bed. You don't see too many laid out with them.
mcdub13 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Unfortunatley i felt like i couldn't make any progress so i boxed it once again and started building my lil red express drag truck.
Skydime Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 All in due time. When you're ready, I am sure it will all fall together for you.
