Edsel-Dan
Sounds like a Group that Need to Sit in a Prison Cell for a Few years to GROW UP!!!! Lucky none of them have been Shot yet!!! Bet that don't last as owners begin to sit and Watch their cars!!!! Or even have a Neighbor/passerby see it and run a few of them over!!
Joe Handley
Well, it is Caifornia, doubt they would have been shot...........however, there are plenty of other "self defence mechanisms" available The police are treating these as felony cases at least, and I'll bet at least one of the perps ain't going to be smart enough to keep his mouth shut or was dumb enough to record things on a camera or phone. Joe Handley
I don't know Charlie, I would be PISSED if one of those Smarts were mine, espcially the '09 since it has the potential to be a total loss because some group of idiots though tipping was a good idea. Believe me, Joe, I understand what you're saying, and if it were my car, I'd probably be less-than-happy, too. But, at least in this part of the world, so many of the people that drive these so-called "Earth-friendly cars" are such nasty, arrogant jerks, that watching horrible things happen to Priuses, Insights, Smarts and similar cars is something I revel in- perhaps a bit much. About the only group that seems immune to this stupidity are the folks with Minis. Generally, they're very courteous drivers. Say...on the subject of dioramas, is someone making a kit of these things? Charlie Larkin
Edsel-Dan
Revell/Momogram Use to It came with at least 4 different body sets in different colors. It was in the Pro-Finished series. I remember seeing it once at a Family Toy Warehouse at the same time AMT's Modern Tool 57 Chevy Bel Air debuted Got the New bel Air, But Not the Smart. Hopefully Revell re-issues it soon!! You obviously have no idea what it's really like in California. I've seen people shot for a lot less than car tipping. Oh yeah, do that to my car and I'll do a lot worse than shoot you. Charlie Larkin Problem is, these guys are probably just as bad as some of the owners of these cars are, in their own douchy way. I doubt we would have much to worry about though, my Jeep my be respected enough for them to leave alone then much like your Buick, my 200 (3600lbs) is low enough and heavy enough that they might hurt themselves trying to roll it. slusher
I would hate to get in an accident in a smart car. Sooner or later if it continues someone will get caught or worse...
Austin T
There's a little bit of humor there but it's still too far. And Carl surprisingly enough Smart cars are pretty strong, they were engineered to protect the occupants if a crash occurs.
Joe Handley
It is amazing how strong these little things actually are, I've joked how I would hate to drive one in the winter through an icy intersection, mainly because if I were to get hit by a large SUV, pick up, or big truck, it would probably bounce around the intersection like a pin ball

California born and raised. kool another internet bad man! the problem is, those people you refer to end up doing long terms in prison which is where you would be if you did what you talk. there is zero defense for shooting someone screwing with your car. a car is not a life and death situation. maybe you should look into the actual law before posting nonsense like this. and, im just guessing, quit listening to ted nugent. believe me, if that were my car I would want to shoot someone too but the reality is you will end up paying dearly for the privilege. that's what its "really like in California" jb
ToyLvr
When I was in high school back in the early 70s, I saw something like this on a couple of occasions. Some jocks from the football team picked up a Honda Civic and placed it on the sidewalk. For you younger folks, FYI the Civic was tiny back then and only had 12" tires. Also saw a similar group move a teacher's dinky Triumph sports car into someone's front yard near our high school. This was in a small town that had the old-fashioned yards with an approx 12" high stone berm around the perimeter of yard, and the old decorative wire "fencing" (looks kinda like croquet hoops). They removed the fencing, lifted the car in place, and then neatly replaced the fencing. Never did hear how the owner got the car outta there. Might have been a challenge due to the Triumph's low ground clearance. ;-) Boys-will-be-Boys....
Joe Handley
My folks talked of stuff like that back in the 50's and 60's (early Beetles and post war Jeeps), but that involved putting them in school buildings upright and in one piece. It's a small beach community north of Ventura. The non profit I worked for had a store on Linden street then. not a place where you worried about getting shot. Used to ride motorcycles on the bluff overlooking the beach.
