1/16 charger Buddy Baker

Recommended Posts

Never built one of these before and thought I would try one. Started out as the Round 2 reissue of the Petty Charger.post-11986-0-57784000-1401400872_thumb.jpost-11986-0-57445900-1401400924_thumb.jpost-11986-0-27587200-1401400958_thumb.jpost-11986-0-02946000-1401401011_thumb.jpost-11986-0-13006400-1401401072_thumb.jpost-11986-0-20688000-1401401112_thumb.j

Question? Did the stock cars of the day run treaded tires and how do you paint the raised letters on them. I painted them with enamel and it does not seem to want to dry?

‚ÄčYes, they ran the treaded tires in the early 70's. And you should use acrylic paint to do the lettering on the tires, enamel will never dry.

Great looking model. Detailing a 1/16th scale kit sure is a lot easier on the eyes! I'm about to start on the 1/16th Hawaiian funny car. Where did you get the 1/16th scale seat belt hardware? Again, you did a great job!

Norman: That is the molded in detail from the kit just used different shade of black on the belt detail.

Douglas: Thanks for the info, next time I will use the proper paint for the lettering.
