MicroNitro
I just got a Model King Challenger Funny Car. The it is pretty nice except for the body it has a ton of shrinkage marks on the hood, trunk and sides. Has anyone but me had this or did I just luck out and get a bad one. All the model king kits I have got in the past have always been top notch.
Randy Kern
Jim, I just picked this kit up today, and yes, mine also has some waviness on the hood (where the stock scoops were), the doors (where there are small braces molded inside) and the trunk (where the posts were inside). These areas will need to be block sanded for sure, and possibly some putty at the areas of the door braces (I'm not sure why they are there). Otherwise, it looks to be a great kit, with lots of detail and those spectacular decals!
1320wayne
I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and I did not find any problems with the body in my kit.
chris coffey
i just took a gander at mine too, and didn't find any issues. Maybe a bad batch?? might see if Model King Dave is aware of this, and maybe see about getting a replacement body??
