exesivefire Posted October 9, 2014 Popped the intake back off, couple things were bothering me, need to respray and make those fuel rails again. Two steps forward, one step back...

chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 9, 2014 I really don't like this car but I keep finding myself checking up on it.... You're doing a great job with it.

exesivefire Posted October 11, 2014 got the intake repainted, also redid the fuel rails and lines. Need to make a regulator and a return line yet.
exesivefire Posted October 11, 2014 I also got rear shocks made, used aluminum tube, a paperclip and some hex styrene. Now it sits up by itself.
Devilsnake98 Posted October 11, 2014 That motor looks even better now, good call on the repaint. The suspension looks good too, nice stance.

rsxse240 Posted October 12, 2014 didn't realize I had one of the 99 cobra kits in my closet! I think I'm going to take your idea, but I'm going to make a resin copy of the entire rear end and have it on hand for future builds that require IRS setups. I think I'm going to take your idea, but I'm going to make a resin copy of the entire rear end and have it on hand for future builds that require IRS setups. It will be interesting to see how that plays out in resin, it was worth it in the end, but this rear end is really finicky to say the least
exesivefire Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) Spent the day at the NNL in Toledo yesterday, tons of new inspiration to get me motivated today. Seems like I am taking baby steps here, but the little stuff is pushing me here, hoping its worth it all in the end. Got the fuel regulator made and the return line on the fuel rail, I also wired the sensors in the throttle body while I was at it. Figured it was a good time to mock everything back up and make sure it still fits, also got some primer on the front splitter and rear diffuser. exesivefire Posted October 12, 2014 was doing pretty good till I decided to squeeze the radiator in there. Not so sure that clearance would work in the real world, Gonna need to do something different I'm sure. Off to search the google to find ideas... Devilsnake98 Posted October 12, 2014 The details on that engine look so good! Probably a little late to angle the turbo outward to gain clearance with the radiator, then you'd have to re - do the exhaust and that would be a shame. Good luck with solving you're problem. Looks good man.
exesivefire Posted October 12, 2014 Oh ya, thats not going anywhere easy.. It will be easier to do something with the radiator. Took a break from engine stuff and tackled that spoiler I need. I think this should work.
freakshow12 Posted October 13, 2014 Sweet. Is that the middle on a 79-83 spoiler? I get in the same pickles sometimes. Build through them. That's why I build the whole model before I break down for paint
slusher Posted October 13, 2014 Looking awesome and nice touch on the spoiler...

Got first coat of primer on the spoiler and some finish sanding. couldnt resist another mockup with the hood. I am really happy with how this is turning out

Yeah, just offset the rad so the turbo can pass some air and it'll be fine! Looking good so far. Edited October 13, 2014 by DonW
om617 Posted October 13, 2014 Great work on this. The aero details will make it look very agressive in a good way.
