Superpeterbilt Posted September 29, 2014 A sharp eyed forum member spotted this sealed kit at his LHS, put it on hold and gave me a call to see if I wanted it. Congrats Sean! I know youve been huntin that one
scummy Posted September 29, 2014 Mark - what kit number would this be ? Mate , it's T520 . Because so many people had trouble putting the suspention together they redid the rear and released it under the same number so you have to study the box lid or ask the question . Petetrucker07 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) This hasnt been "scored" yet. There are some really rare kits here. Theres a challenger mixer in this lot. http://m.ebay.com/itm/131309816099 Edited September 30, 2014 by Petetrucker07

Theres a challenger mixer in this lot.http://m.ebay.com/itm/131309816099 That's a lot of kits, but $8500 seems a little excessive to me. But hey, what do I know. Petetrucker07 Posted September 30, 2014 Thats what i said, even 6500. I think h theyd be better selling individual or groups of 2 to 4 kits. This austion would something for a group of guys to go in on. Not just 1 guy, IMO
Superpeterbilt Posted September 30, 2014 Just keep an eye on the seller, Im sure theyll bust up the lot and sell them individually. The only way I can see this selling is if a hobby shop buys it.
Petetrucker07 Posted September 30, 2014 I thought about 40 guys and 200 each, but i dont that many people, let alone big truck builders
Superpeterbilt Posted October 1, 2014 Heres a few more I managed to grab this week. This will be it for me for a little while. I bought another Ford finally. The first I had went to be a donor for the 9000 cabover conversion. The sleeper and wrecker body is up for grabs. I managed to finally score a 2nd one of these. Petetrucker07 Posted October 1, 2014 You got couple grails there Terry. Im sure there are a few super jealous of the mixer
Superpeterbilt Posted October 1, 2014 You got couple grails there Terry. Im sure there are a few super jealous of the mixer Thats the 2nd of the Mack kit also. My 1st one is sealed and it wont be opened. This one is opened with a few pieces started, so I dont feel bad about building it. My 1st mixer will be box stock with a resin needle nose hood and some AITM wheels. This one will be completely box stock with resin wheels. I also have a C500 Kw mixer planned to be the big brother of these two, all wearing the box art. The Mack will be built to box art as well with resin wheels all around. Jim B Posted October 1, 2014 Nice scores, Terry. Looking forward to your Kenworth mixer fleet.
tbill Posted October 2, 2014 you know, if you based all the prices on those kits per the bay, the guy is pretty well on the money for that auction. sure, no money to be made re-selling them, but close to what the over all average for those kits is [as much as I hate to say it]
tbill Posted October 3, 2014 got this in the mail yesterday, I noticed this kit has Alcoa's and round tanks only.
Jim B Posted October 3, 2014 Yes, and the decals are 1/16, not 1/25.

Mackvision Posted October 4, 2014 Jim,i hear you! here are a few of my future projects,in the planning /drawing board stages now.........................Mark
Superpeterbilt Posted October 4, 2014 Theres two of my favorite things on those Macks. A mercury sleeper, and a Holmes wrecker. I have a few R700s with Mercurys stashed in boxes for rainey days. I have an R700 Challenger wrecker stashed as well. I look forward to seeing these built.
Mackvision Posted October 4, 2014 The blue and white R-Model wrecker belongs to a friend of mine in Jersey, drove the truck 35 years before he retired it,he now has an AT-64 Autocar with a Century under-reach. I am looking to use the first gear wrecker body (probably) just hate to break up such nice trucks! I've had this project on my mind for a good many years, the RL-700L/sleeper will be a lot easier than the wrecker for sure! I just hope Round2 will re-issue the R-Model at some point in the future, the kits around now are just too expensive to stock up on..................................Mark
