pturley84
Here is my latest completed model. Its the Monogram 48 Ford Woody. All-in-all it's a really great kit. I'm really into building rusty weathered model right now, so that's the direction I went. I hand painted all the wood except for the darker inserts on the exterior of the body. They are decals that I darkened up and made look a little more weathered. The body is painted with acrylics and the rust and weathering is all done with AMMO of Mig Jimenez paints and washes. The distributor on the ford Flathead is unique so I retro fitted the kit one to house the distributor wires and boots from Pro Tech. The photo etched radiator fan, aluminum air cleaner, fuel line and fittings and photo etched license plate frame are also from Pro Tech. The pulleys, shift linkage and radiator cap are watch parts I scratch built the roof rack and hand made the surfboard from balsa wood. On the interior of the model I flocked the carpet, made the seats look like they have been repaired with duck tape, resin cast coke bottles for the front seat, printed and folded the coke bottle holder, printed a calendar and trading cards for the front seat, put a oil can in the back seat, gas can and bucket of tools in the cargo area and scratch built a suitcase out of styrene for the back also. I think thats it. Thanks for looking and I hope you all like it.
