Joan Osborne - Relish

More than likely you've heard One of Us but here are two more of my favorites from this great album.

That whole album is excellent! I remember playing it a lot when it was new. Haven't listened to it for quite a while though. Might be time to go and rediscover it!

I ran across the Dead Daisys last week. John Corabi from the Crue plus folks from Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and a few other projects. They formed in Australia, which might be why I never heard of them before. Seems like Australia and Canada get all the good acts.  http://thedeaddaisies.com/

Edit @ 1:05pm. I just got a notice from ATT that this post might be copyright infringement.  So is this real? The vids came directly from Dead Daisys youtube channel. So maybe they make money for each viewing, just not if its reposted elsewhere?

If you like Dead Daisies, you may like The Winery Dogs. This is Ritchie Kotzen, Billy Sheehan, and Mike Portnoy.

Two CDs so far, and I dig them both.

This is why I love this thread, all sorts of great bands I would never have run across.

I found a new band, called The Sheepdogs...... They have a song called "Sharp Sound" that's pretty good.

And these guys, wow. Its 1975 all over again, and I'm 21!

Here's a weird one I found this morning.  This is not the song I wanted, but listen to Black Hole Sun in that playlist.  It's fun, especially if you like all kinds of stuff.  This pretty much nails my tastes in one.  I can listen to the Soundgarden version and then this and like them both.  Or give me some blues.

Johnny Thunders ( New York Dolls , Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers , solo ) was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones --- and Keith Richards in particular .

Here's Thunders' version of Wild Horses from I don't know when :

And here's Thunders' killer version of Pipeline ( live version of the version from So Alone ) :

It's not really obscure or undiscovered, but in honour of Rob Trujillo's birthday, here's something I've been listeneing to lately.

Back in high school, my band used to cover this one, for a while we opened any shows we played with it. Then our opener became the Terminator theme.

And we played it at a school talent show once and were promptly issued detentions for it. Lyrics are NSFW!

Went to a show last night and was quite impressed!

Death From Above. AKA Death From Above 1979 AKA DFA.

I've known about their music for a while now, but have been on a DFA kick lately. And they are fantastic live! Little bit of punk mixed with some heavy rock and some dance music. And it's only two guys!

Opening band was a girl group called The Beaches. Was really impressed with these girls. Reminds me of the mid-90s Riot Grrl movemnet. If you liked bands like Veruca Salt and Elastica back in the day, or even The Runaways, then they should appeal to you!

Bizarre video, but here's Freeze Me.
