High octane
Not today, but yesterday I was at a vintage drag racing meet and they had a swap area also with mostly racing parts. I did find a couple of license plates for my garage as I have an on going collection. I got Utah & Wyoming.

I was super stoked to find this one. The very first good guitar I bought was the exact same guitar. I ordered it new in 1989, waited 5 months for it. I still have it, and it's still my absolute favourite guitar. I have over 20 guitars, and have owned and sold more than that, and nothing has the feel or the mojo of my original crackle. It's also the ONLY one I've ever seen finished in that pattern. I'm a part of several guitar groups and BC Rich groups on facebook and elsewhere, and no one else has come across it. So when I stumbled on this? Had to buy it. Now I have twins. Once I set it up, I'll have to take some decent pics of the pair. As for the original? It's the one guitar my kids aren't allowed to touch. And I'll be buried with it. I never cared for a crackle finish on anything but somehow it looks cool on this guitar. Roadrunner
My new Meade 4000 series Super Plossl 26mm eyepiece arrived today, and works just great. Skies cleared up briefly this evening, so I was able to some exploring, and it's a definite step up from the generic eyepiece originally supplied with the telescope. Foxer
Some new snacks. I don't understand why my model building has slowed down, must just be age.
High octane
My model building has also slowed down even more because of my age, spending time at car shows and cruise nights, watching TOO much baseball on TV, and of course spending too much time on this keyboard also. Or it could be poor time management, hmmmm.
426 pack
I needed a new hat because my old one was greasy and dirty so the other day I decided to get one made with my lawnmower racing team name. I also bought a couple of old license plates. The 64 is for my dodge truck and the 67 is for my Plymouth Satellite.

I also collect license plates to hang on my garage wall and picked up one from Nova Scotia last fall when I was there.

Renegade
Went to the womens shelter resale shop and picked these up. Two weeks ago picked up a Harley book. All were like new and two dollars each. Today was 30% off so $1.40 each. Great stuff at super prices and the money goes to help battered women. Been donating for awhile but just recently found out about the resale shop. Win Win Win. I'm just paying for it. ) It look's like roadkill, but the engine and transmission work great. Some "Turtle Wax" will bring that paint back ... right ... ? ? GeeBee
Not model related, as such, but now the airbrush spraybooth has had to be moved out of the hobby room, now that it has to function as an office as well, just couldn't risk getting any overspray into my computer, printer, scanner and of course my camera gear, I bought a new cupboard to house all my aerosol and paints mixed up in glass jar, plus a new chair, my old one was well past it's sell by date, and a complete rearrange of the room.
