bondo bill
Here's an SS 396 convertible that I just completed. It's a box stock build, with bare metal foil, Hugger Orange one coat lacquer from Model Master? (I think, not sure), and gel pen painted whitewalls. It's more of a fun shelf model than a show build. Comments welcome! After taking a second look at the chassis, I can see a couple of spots I'd like to touch up with paint.

unclescott58
Very nice. I see you left in the door vent wings. Not correct for '69. But, I'm thinking about leaving them on mine too. I still miss vent wings on real cars. I'm just going to tell everybody that my model represents an early GM prototype, before they were decided on whether to keep the vent wings from the '68s or not. This will also explain the missing headrests. Scott
Guest
Very nice. The tires are too small tho. The Goodyears that came with the kit would have been better.

Lovefordgalaxie
Looks great!! All my models are shelf models. It's a lot more fun this way. Building those things is supposed to release you of stress, not build up more of it, right?
Bob Ellis
Reminds me that I have to finish my '69 Chevelle vert too. You did great removing the '68 side trim.
