New York Stores

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Are there any good model shops in New York?

My mother is going there next week and I want her to pick up a few bits and pieces for me. I would like to know where they are in the main areas of new york as i dont want to send her to some dodgy part of the city.

So if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated.

I am looking to get one of these

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=74520

and one of these

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=74522.

P.S if this is in the wrong place can the mods please move to the appropriate place.

Thanks

Stephen, Hobby Link Japan may be the place to get these from.

I have them both, and love 'em!

I have a dealer directory link on the main site: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/Dealers.pdf

I will update it in the next few weeks.

Thanks gregg but I was thinking of buying it straight from a shop in New York. I think Ill wait a while and see what they can find when they are in NYC.

There is a great hobby shop on Long Island, but they don't have the stand and compressor

I did a feature on it a few issues ago when I went to the Maryland show with my buddy Ariel from Jersey.

Be prepared to bring a lot of cash, you'll spend it all

I left $200 shorter, and that was only two bags full

I had about $750 more I wanted to spend, but didn't

Every time I go out that way, I make sure I stop in.

Larry Greenberg turned me on to the place

That sounds like a good lace. Unfortunately I wont be going myself though

Have you got a name of the shop or a link to a website.

Thanks for the info so far.
