speedy5963
This was build from the Monogram kit, mostly box stock with some added engine details, cleaned up and lowered. This was a fun build as I have always wanted to build a 36 Ford but never got around to it, I have a few of the older AMT ones but when Monogram released this one I figured I would give it a run. The paint on this one is HOK's Kandy Apple Red basecoat with some snap clear. This was the first kandy basecoat paint job I did and I was happy with it. The basecoat was much easier to use having multiple parts to spray and not having as much difficulty with color matching as you would with a traditional urethane Kandy but it also does not have the depth of a urethane kandy in my opinion. These pictures show the color a bit lighter than it actually is, it is a bit darker. Very fun build!
