Drake69
Here is my take on an iconic car.... I had to sacrifice a distributor, an antenna, several coats of paint, and extra time to the gods to build her, but she came out rather nice I think. Intake manifold, dual carbs, and dual air cleaner setup from an AMT '57 Chrysler 300c, but the parts fit perfectly on the engine block. I also had photoetch I was going to add to it, but research showed that very little badging was put on the car to keep her and her 24 "sisters" simple for the camera. Let me know what all of you think! Edited March 4, 2015 by Drake69

Ramfins59
Allen, that's a nice looking car...... but it's a '58 Plymouth, not a '57.
Drake69
Allen, that's a nice looking car...... but it's a '58 Plymouth, not a '57. Yeah, I know... I was just calling it that like SK did in the book. No worries. And thanks everyone! EDIT: Decided to change it anyway. It DOES make it correct! LOL! ToyLvr
Looks great! I'd keep it away from any '67 Camaros you might have in your collection, though...
Lowlife ! !
Love this car, gotta build one myself one day...... Really nice job, engine looks all the better for the 300c parts. Was it a 57 or 58, I remember in the film, George LeBay states ` my a$$hole brother bought her, September 57, that's when you got your new model...` (or something like that ! ) So its a 58 bought in 57 ??? Nice job anyways ......... Lowlife ! !

Of course SK wrote that it was a special order custom model ordered in that color, otherwise it would have been Buckskin Beige. Thanks all!
