What have I got myself into... Mustang Triple.

I had to stall the 206 build due to lack of reference pictures. When I eventually get the ones I need, I'll continue on with it.

Till then, there's been a bit of an elephant in the collection, and it's been a pile of 3 '66 Mustangs that are all muddled up. I've been deliberately avoiding them, but I'm in the mood to build something American and these are fitting the bill nicely for something cool.

I hope to get two good Mustangs out of this pile of muddled parts.

First, I need to see exactly what I have, and hopefully that'll be doable..

Some notation to make sure I remember...

My plan is to build a GT350H standard, and then a Mustang done to how I would have one. Well, one that isn't a Shelby anyway, hahah.

So already I've got started on making the bumpers nice and joined...

One irk I do have is with the fastback panels. There seems to be terrible fitment. Any advice on this???

Cheers everyone!

Okay, so I got some work done on these two.

They're now two rolling chassis'. Only part missing from the pile was the shocks or whatever ya call 'em that connect to the rear leaf springs, so I'm happy enough with that!

This is them on the body... I'm tempted to modify the custom one to fit these Ford GT40 wheels, what do you guys think? I think it looks kinda cool. They're just sitting underneath the body at the minute. The other will be a standard GT350-H.

The front panels are different between the Shelby Mustangs and the standard 2+2, the front panels on the Shelby's are in real life a fibreglass piece, and never fit exceptionally well in full size.

Not entirely true. The standard gt350 shared the front valence with the regular mustang. The 65 gt350R front valence was unique and what is in these pictures. It's not correct for a regular gt350. There were also 2 versions of the R model valence. One with round duct holes and one with oval holes.

So, after finally getting some bench time, and cranking on the tunes..

I managed to squeeze those GT40 wheels under the non GT350H, after some modifications.. And having to change the front tyres to some from a Mk3 Golf, and then putting the GT40 front tyres onto the back.

But I think it looks cool and was worth the work!

Had a go at making a splitter... needs some fine tuning but it'll look cool.

I'll get some work done on the GT350H soon, I promise.. This one is just fun because I can have some creativity with it. ;)

They're gonna be very cool together...
