Stray
Measure twice. Bend once. Measure again. Re-bend. Test fit. Toss out. Hide all sharp objects. Start again. Truth Joe, that looks awesome. Perfect scale and clean fitting. I'm jealous.

slusher
Joe problems never hold you back for long. I have an AMT Cougar that could use some cursing but i haven't gave it one.
mustang1989
Thanks everybody! I worked on the R/H front line this morning and got it all painted and installed a union/ joint to split the front half of the line up in order to make it somewhat easier to handle and form. Carl: I can curse at that Cougar from here if it'll help any!
mustang1989
Just picked this bad boy up off of Ebay.... Two to go..... Edited June 29, 2015 by mustang1989
mustang1989
Ok I've got the fuel line formed and laid in place. Rear tires are now on as well as front rotor bearing caps. To recap.... This is what the kit boxing has for the chassis and here's where I'm at right now. With rear tire/ wheels installed and fronts test fitted into place.... Still gotta install the exhaust system and a few other things on the underside but we're getting closer.
mustang1989
Just picked this bad boy up off of Ebay.... Two to go..... Funny thing about this kit and another reason I want it. These are the only pictures of ANY model I've got from the early years. Here's my Revell "Street Demons" 41 Willys about 30 years ago .... Don't ask about the display or the quality. Ha ha!!! I guess it was my best shot at early photography with a really crappy camera. Edited July 1, 2015 by mustang1989

microwheel
Sorry I haven't been on much to keep up with your build Joe, but It's been a mad house around here the past few weeks. I havent even had much time to get on my own project lol. But I finally got some time this evening browse through your build and get caught up. You have really come along way with it since I last check in. I love your chassis detail work so far buddy. It really came out nice. Looking forward to seeing how your flames turn out this time. mustang1989
Thanks Carl and Jim!! I hear you on being busy Jim!! I was out of town for half of last week and have only gotten a couple of things done on the truck since Monday. I'll be hitting it hard this weekend though. mustang1989
Had to get something done on this puppy. After removing the tons of flash that this cab/ front clip had, it was time to primer it. Will be moving on to the doors next.

426-Hemi
Ok I've got the fuel line formed and laid in place. Rear tires are now on as well as front rotor bearing caps. To recap.... This is what the kit boxing has for the chassis and here's where I'm at right now. With rear tire/ wheels installed and fronts test fitted into place.... Still gotta install the exhaust system and a few other things on the underside but we're getting closer. Joe had to have a look....... i'm down and out right accident for the 4th..... but, more reason to my posting, the 429 BOSS you used..... ANY pictures of the exhaust manifolds you used, and what models may have them??? reason being is, they're real close to that Mopar used on the "Ball-Stud" Hemi's, the 404 C.I.D, and the 444 C.I.D engines, that were made, but never went into production, due the time frame they were made, BUT there are atleast one out in Detroit, that was built as a "running prototype".....Its in a '67 Plymouth Barracuda, notchback........ I've modeled it to go along side the AMT-Ertl's 426 DOHC Hemi......as a "what-if".....mine however is going in the '67 Dodge Coronet R/T from Revell!!!!! mustang1989
OK folks I totally stripped the hood......AGAIN! The decal setting solution made its way all the way down through the primer!! Updates coming......
microwheel
Well that sucks Joe. But I'm sure you'll get it buddy. I've had many a re-sprays in my bench build life lol, so I know the feeling of disapointment they cause. But if your anything like me, you'll get it if it's the last thing you do lmao. mustang1989
Thanks Jim. You're right I'll get it. It's a bummer of sorts but like I always say, that's modeling. I've since got it primed and threw a mist coat on earlier. I just now painted the gloss red back on and primed the hood scoop. I have a small speck of dust to sand out of the hood scoop but that aint nuthin'.
mustang1989
Been a little bit since I've been on this one. I tried to paint the body but it turned out terribly. Will be back on it soon. I'm on my 30 year old 37 Chevy resto right now so I can actually finish something. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/103667-30-year-old-amt-37-chevy-gasser-rolling-chassis-0714/
mustang1989
Ok folks. I'm back from the dead with this one. I had to just back away from it for a little bit to regroup and come back. I started on the exhaust system yesterday and chose solder as the piping. The mufflers I got from a LHS in San Antonio last month that I like to frequent when I'm up there. One of my lighting fixtures when kaput on me so I only have one light for the time being so the picture quality isn't what I like but here it is so far............
