jsc
Guys: A short while ago I bought the Dodge L-700, the one with the flatbed and the '40 Ford Coupe. While I've been working on the cab, and the cab working on me (why won't those doors line up????) I put the other parts aside. But now that I'm working on the trailer I can only find 2 of the outer rims. Either I lost them somehow, or they weren't in the box to begin with. Has anyone else had that problem? Thanks John
JunkPile
Typical problem Either enlarge doors with added styrene then re-shape door to fit opening or, add styrene to door opening of cab then re-shape opening of cab to fit door Good Luck, and remember .....this is F U N
dptydawg
To get the doors to fit right on mine I had to file away at the hinge mounts on the body. I forget just how I did it but it took a lot of fiddling to get a good fit. Carl
jsc
Poor fit does take away some of the FUN, but I'll keep plugging away. I think I'll start with those hinges.... Thanks
Chariots of Fire
Those hinges are a pain. On the last one I did I filled in the holes in the hinges with plastic and re-drilled them with smaller holes and then used a common pin to secure them together. Make the holes just a bit oversize but not so much that the door sags or wobbles when you open it.
