Perfect cuts in sheeet styrene every time.

Recommended Posts

I just picked this up at the store, got home, and tested. Makes a perfect cut. I used I think it is .030 thick styrene sheet, and just a bit firm and it sliced right through, didn't distort or anything.

SureCut-Scrapbooking-Paper-Trimmer-121_pPersonal Portable Paper Cutter. <$20.00, can't beat that.

I have one very similar to that. Works great for cutting sheet, though on thicker sheet, it more scores it than making a clean through cut.

Been using one for ten years or more. I never cut all the way through.....just scribe and snap. I cut some .080 sheet stock last night. Two passes and snap it. Clean 90 degree cut every time. For those with arthritis in the hands a great tool. Mine was under $10. I looked at a all metal unit that MAY be more accurate that was $30....still a deal.

Michaels for sure will have the Fiskars. Mine is a Westcott, came from the local Menard's store in their office supply area. I don't recall what I paid for it.

Hi all, which type of cutter seems to work better?...The wire cutter or one with a wheel? Also what is the max thickness of sheet plastic can be cut?

Thanks, Henry

Mine has a blade in it, similar to the tip of a #11 exacto blade, rather than a wheel or a wire. I've bade clean cuts through sheet up to .030" with ease.

I got mine at Fred Meyer a Kroger subsidiary. It has a triangular blade on the bottom, with a wire to show right where the cut will be. Mine is a FISKARS.
