THAT, is going to be sweet! A pair of kits I'd love to have, but just can't justify paying the asking prices. I look forward to seeing you complete this one.

I am very happy to see someone building this truck. I built the Hideout truck 20+ years ago. I recently dug it out of my parents house and bought one off ebay to build (box wasn't great, but the parts were all in their bags and the price was right!). I am looking forward to seeing how you finish the kit.

Thanks for the nice pics!

I believe the kit is from around 79 or 80. I also have the Hideout truck kit to build also. They are and interesting change of subject.

I've been waitin to see you build this one!!!!!!!!! Are those the wheels that you got from me? I haven't had any chrome plated yet so I can't tell if their mine or not?

If you did go with the ones I sold you, can you please post some up close pics?

Thanks!

Thanks guys:

Ben I was going to use the ones I got from you, But I don't want to use them until I can get some Alcad or somehow get them chromed. The wheels I used were modified 5 hole steel wheels from the International dumptruck. The truck is about 99% finished, so I'll post picks soon.

Very nice build. The pair look great together. In the early '80s I worked for a Goodyear dealer in Las Vegas, we were the local Bandag retreader. When Tyrone Malone was going around the country campaigning the Bandag Bandit he spent the afternoon at our shop. It was pretty cool to be able to climb all over the race truck as well as the hauler.

Great job there building the Papa truck . And I can tell you I had a blast driving that truck in Europe ,hauling the Super Boss in 1989.

I would like to put your photos on my Tyrone Malone website, and would give you credit for the photos.

Let me know what you think at superboss1@hotmail.com

Thank you

Bill,

These two trucks look superb. Both complement each other very well. You did a great job with the old decals. I always struggle with the old decals and can never get them to work. Just one question is the paint scheme based on the KW Bicentennial paint scheme? Looks very similar.

Best Wishes

Dave

Awsome Build , I got two of these trucks and sure like the wheels you made. What part did you mod

on the wheels and what are the front wheel cap from?

This is not my build but I made very accurate wheels for the Tyrone Malone transporters. You can see them here:

Look in the folder titled "wheels I make" or it might say model truck wheels, I forget which. LOL

beautiful pair of models, i'm sure you already heard that enough, i am building the same pair and wondered what you used as reference for prototype colours of the chassis, underside of the fiberglass, etc.

Here's the finished Pa Pa Truck. It came out better than I thought considering how old the decals were.

Right now I'm trying to finish up my Hideout Truck to haul around my Bandag Bandit model. It's getting close to being done.

Well kid, you did a super fine lob on these models. I'm proud of ya and think the big T would also be proud to see these models of his trucks. Keep up the good work.
