JimmysSSG, Thank you for the color compliments. I cant wait to get the firewall glued in place. I painted that a nice cream color. Really looks bitch'n when I set it in place!
You're welcome..and the red and creme is a killer combo. Really, really nice!

Hal, you're making me worry. I'm close to 40+ years since my last build, and this coupe looks fantastic! I hope I do 1/2 as good on mine. The colors and details are spot on brother..Great job!

One of my favorite sounds is CHOP! I really like where this is going.

these are pictures of my paint job i originally just wanted it all flat black but my airbrush was acting up so i started sanding it down with 1500 sand paper and i started to get this effect which i liked so i took some buffing compond and polish then washed it and this it what i got .
Years ago, I used to watch Bob Ross on his PBS painting show. He referred to something like this as "a happy little accident"... Looks great! Looking forward to seeing the progress on this.

I previously posted this on another thread, and Doc suggested I move it here. I've taken a '95 kit of Dale Earnhardt's Goodwrench #3 that was just gathering dust on the shelf, and chopped it up, rusted it out, and this is the result so far. Scratch-built weapons, engine and interior detail, and a few odds and ends still to come, as well as more pics.

Jim, the weathering is spot on. Delighted to hear DC got you cranked up. These builds are fun, I keep insisting, and I hope more folks get to find out exactly how much fun (and low stress) they can be.
Thanks Virgil. That really means a lot to me.

About a week on the bench, with a few hours here and there, and so far I've come up with this. Much more detailing to come, but it's a start. This is my first build since I was about 14-years old or so. Thanks to Dr. Cranky for the inspiration with this one, and many more builds down the road.
By the way, can anyone guess the kit I'm using?

Hey Doc, what did Donn Yost create for this gig?
UPDATE: Oooops. I just found it. That truck is just wicked!
