  1. It shows that we do not have many younger model builders replacing us. Hence we might be the last major wave in this hobby before the final crash.
  2. I think it was only a three issue run
  3. Wow, this is pretty wild stuff! Hey, if he can sell this junk, more power to him! But he is not getting any money from me!
  4. Very cool, Eric! I always wanted a 620 King Cab, but they are getting a bit hard to find around these parts. The show is ok, but like i said, it is too much bolt on and clean up. No real building. And I know they have built cars from the ground up before, and that is what I would like to see. Not everything has to happen in one episode, they could do a season on building on an actual project and not a client car clean up. But then again, I have owned this 510 since 1995 and just got to getting it done!
  5. Currently in the middle of my Datsun 510 build. It incorporates USDM style, the BRE flares, and will have JDM touches, SSS Emblems, Mirrors and such. It is not a High Dollar build, but my wallet thinks otherwise, but I am making sure to use the best stuff I can get.
  6. Definite yes on the Bulldozer! And a couple of Cougars wouldn't hurt
  7. Everything will be fine....
  8. I just picked one up as well from Toys R Us! Grabbed it because it was a really nice shade of green and then I find out it is a special hunt issue, or a Green Machine, from Greenlight! Quite surprised how much stuff TRU is still carrying. Too bad there are no models
  9. The original issue is indeed an ex stock car kit. It has the interior tub, cage, air cleaner and steering wheel from its racing heritage. And of course, the body issues of a Charger/Daytona flush rear window.
  10. And the Jada Toys are very, well, toy like
  11. Those M2 Machines Datsun 510 cars are pretty nice. Very hard to find in the So Cal area, I had to buy from a vendor to get a couple of them.
  12. I once made a comment to a factory stock builder about using colored wires, other than black, on his builds and his response was that if he used black, no one could see them that well! Then I built a dragster with an SBC, ran the wires down the sides like a factory setup and no one could see the black wires! Someone even suggested that I wire the engine for a better appearance!
  13. I was lucky enough to buy them and still have them mint in box. It used to be so much fun buying models in the 80's!
  14. But, It does comes with a ton of hood tie downs!
  15. And might I add that JDM is something that is slightly overused in the Japanese car community. Most of these cars are actually USDM cars and a very few are actually JDM I am using some "JDM" parts on my car, but that does not make it a JDM car, just a JDM style car.
  16. I need to give it a second viewing before I decide if I want to continue seeing it. It just felt a bit dull. As a Datsun 510 owner, I hope it makes it.
  17. Yeah! Drag Vans!
  18. Well, in all fairness, we mainly nit pick new models, not the re-issues. Some do, but they also like to chase the mail man.
  19. Yeah, that adhesive turns yellow over time and it turns in a gunk when you finally do use the decals. I used the ones out of a 90's re-issue and had the same problems.
  20. Wow, maybe it is time for a Re-Issue now that Three Years have passed!
