I mashed up a Revell kit and the Tamiya kit. I swapped the engine bay into the Tamiya kit and it is a bit smaller. I would say this kit is definitely 1/25th
So they added a crazy nose piece and made new decals for an existing Funny Car tool that was pretty bad to begin with. I really don't see what the big deal is, it is not like they made a whole new tool for this. And, it ended up being an oddball collectible for kit collectors.
Actually, I would use something like the AMT Modified tires. They are actual race tires vs. the MT Street tires.

Yup, built it as a kid and thought it was the coolest thing! Recently acquired another one and oh man, it has issues! I am just still amazed that Revell keeps pumping it out despite the fact that even the old Hasegawa kit is miles ahead.
