Thanks for kind words and thoughts guys. I love my kids. I’m almost always amazed how great they are. (99 percent of them at least.)

Wow! It looks great.

Paint disaster? Sure looks good to me. The roadster looks good too.

I’d love to see HPIguy do a build on this one. It would help.

Some of you may remember a few months ago I posted a model here in “All the Rest,” of a kit one of my students built. The old Hawk/Lindberg “Endsville Eddie”. It was her first model, and she did a fantastic job building it. Since then I gave her another to build. But recently she came up with this on her own. Though technically its not model in the normal sense. I had to share with you.
I joke around with my students a lot. This last year, I told the kids that for my birthday they needed to buy me a real, full-size ‘66-‘67 Ferrari 365 California. It’s only about a $1 1/2 million for one. But, with all the kids in the school, they should be able to raise the funds. Needless to say, the ungrateful rats didn’t come through! So I quit helping them pass their classes, and they all flunked out for the rest of the year.
A few weeks ago, my “Endsville Eddie” builder asks me what kind of Ferrari was it that I like? Several days later, she comes in with what you see below. Again, this is not a model in the normal sense as we think about it. But, it was so nice, I felt I should post it here anyway. I hope that’s okay. And that you guys like it. (Though she’s not getting anything better that the A- she already has gotten in the class.) (And since I really don’t have anything to do the grading in that class.)

Well, I’ve started doing some subassembly work on this kit. And I’m not so sure what to think? No 392 Hemi, as the decal sheet indicates. Or the nailhead Buick that originally came with this kit. The engine mounts mounting points are a mystery. As are how and where one mounts the fuel tank. And is it the hood and/or the nose I need to modify, if I use the Ford engine with the blower? In test fitting things, it looks as though the blower fits through the hood opening just fine. And only the nose piece will need modifying to fit the blower belt? And will this change once the engine is fitted to chassis?
In many ways this kit is a mess from what I can see. Much like Revell’s/Atlantis’ Moon Eye dragster. It can be put together. But, not without a lot of fiddly work. I will get it built. But, if I just wanted a Fiat dragster, I’d go with AMT’s instead. In my opinion it’s a much nicer kit.

Junk? Still one of my all time favorite kits. As you noted, it’s far from “junk.” Unsophisticated? Yes. But, still love it. And I love how well of a job you did on the kit.

Very nice.

I’m excited that Round 2 is bringing out a 1/25th scale Black Beauty. I love the ‘64 through ‘66 stock Imperials. But, I’ve always liked the modified Black Beauty too. I have a stock ‘65 Imperial convertible I built a few years ago. So I’m good there. I also have the 1/32nd scale Black Beauty. Which I like. But, I’m still interested in getting and building the 1/25th scale version.
One thing I wish Round 2, or anybody else would do, is offer a stock version of a DeLorean. I like the Back to the Future movies, but I have no interest in building any of the modified versions from any of three movies. I’m also not really a big fan of the DeLorean in stock form. But I would build a stock version if it was available.

I’ve build built three so far. The convertible, the fastback, and the ‘65 Shelby. I have the ‘66 Shelby waiting in the wings. So you can guess what I think about them. In my opinion they are all very nice kits. Better than the original AMT annuals. Though I still like those too. And I’m looking forward to Round 2’s up coming ‘66 fastback.

I got my Yellow Fever kit at the MCCM (Model Car Club of Minnesota) meeting last night. I have not opened mine up yet. But another member open his up and showed it to the rest of us. It looks pretty good. I’m glad I decided to get one. I especially like the decals. And the two different engines.

A lovely car. Very well done.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you all like it. ? I was surprised on how straightforward prepping the metal body turned out to be. Much less drama than I had feared. Now I'm looking into the world of (relatively inexpensive) die casts for future projects. There's so much more range in subject matter than in styrene models.
The photos seem to work OK for me. I tried both my laptop and my smart phone, using various ISPs and also 4G and the photos all showed up without any issues.
Nothing on my work or home iPads.

Photos? I’m not seeing any photos.
Return of the 1/25 MPC '68 Coronet/Super Bee RT Convertible...

So what was/will be in the box? Can one build a “stock” 1968 Cornet R/T convertible from this kit? Or does it represent a ‘68 Coronet 500 convertible? A phantom ‘68 Coronet Super Bee convertible? Or only the “custom” Mission Impossible version? I’m hoping for the “stock” correct Coronet R/T.
