  1. It's a great kit. At least the stock version which I built several years ago was. Revell did a great job tooling up my favorite Corvette. Scott
  2. The Dag Queen by Lindberg? I've seen better looking Drag Queens in the seedy areas of some cities. Scott
  3. I finally understood how a car's engine worked after building my first Visable V8 model. I remember asking my Dad how an automobile engine worked as kid. He was not expert mechanic by any means. But, he could fix most things that went wrong on our family vehicles. When I asked to explain how a cars' engine worked, he just said it was complicated. And the books I found in the school libraries didn't seem to tell it in a way that I could understand. I've always been more of a visual learner. Once I see something working I can generally grasp how it does what it's doing. I was surprised when I built my first Visable V8. My dad was wrong, four-stroke internal combustion engines are really not that complicated at all. The minor details are. But the general design and the way it works I found pretty straight forward. And that's just one of many things about cars I've learned from building models over the years. At the same time, I too like it when the instructions label what the part. I also learned a lot of from reading model instructions of other kits. Scott
  4. In that first picture, I'm still not seeing the IRS agent under the car. If there is one there, you just gun the accelerator. That takes care of the problem. Scott
  5. Yesterday I recieved the book Show Rod Model Kits by Scotty Gosson. A pretty good book. Well worth the price. Lots of great photos and information. Scott
  6. I remember seeing that set in the old Auto World catalogs back in the early 70's. Scott
  7. Now that's funny! Scott
  8. I'm telling you, you need to see the Foose car painted. It then looks right to me. Scott
  9. Never mind Ron. I missed the YouTube link at first. Once I saw that I got it. Scott
  10. Joe and Bill's comments I understand. But to be honest Ron, I don't get yours? Can you explain? Scott
  11. I think that would be tough to do. But, it sure would be interesting. Scott
  12. I'm surprised! I've always heard about the MPC kit being way undersized. After seeing it compared with the other two '69 Mustangs, it's not as bad as I expected. I've had one laying around for a few years now. Maybe in time to pull in it out and look at building it. Thanks for the comparison. Scott
  13. That's one of the times I've ever found Tina Loise to be attractive. I was always more into Dawn Wells. Scott
  14. You should see it painted. Scott
  15. Yea, I just noticed that now. But, besides that, it's still very cool. Scott
  16. Other than the fish and the upside down star, I kind of like it. not as cool as Foose's P-32. But not bad either. Scott
  17. Cars should be down in the weeds. Not up in the air. Scott
  18. That's not photo shopped? Scott
  19. I find it interesting that first we have Pi day on March 14. Then the Ides of March on the 15th. Then Saint Urho's day on the 16th. And finally Saint Patrick's day on the 17th. A busy 4 days of celebrating. It's a good thing I don't drink. I'd be quite wasted. Especially on those last two. Scott
  20. A very fun video and pretty music besides. Scott
  21. The above pie picture is brilliant. Scott
  22. The picture is so small I can't see it. Scott
  23. Im able to look at one from where I sit. So yes, they put out the Beetle, which is the first Zinger ever designed. Scott
