  1. Actually, it was kinda interesting to have a snow shower. I had told my neighbors last Sunday that we would have snow by the end of the week... Needless to say, they thought I was a looney toon! Friday morning they couldn't stop laughing that it actually happened...
  2. Thanks Dan! I'm gonna finish sanding this, but I'll have to wait on painting it. It's snowing outside!
  3. Ya don't need a hot tub... It's a Corvette and a limo to boot!!!
  4. My condolences to you and yours Kevin. I am so sad to hear of your loss. May your brother rest in peace...
  5. She was probably wanting to take the model over there and say 'My daddy builds cool models!'
  6. Oh yeah! That's gonna be sweet! I do have a suggestion that might make it more swoopy... I would angle the rear window to match the C-pillar angle by extending the bottom of the C-pillar, and rounding off the roof and filling it in at the top. Maybe bring the roofs rear edge down in a fastback style... But what ever you do, it'll still be a cool build!!! Don't forget to tell your helper she is cute and adorable!!!
  7. Looking forward to seeing the update!
  8. Here's the limo again, ready to be sanded and repainted... Just need to sand down the putty on the drivers side... More to come soon...
  9. And of course I won't have any extra money to spend until the second... My luck holdeth out
  10. And I want to thank you as well! You sent me the Burger King coffee cup lids that made excellent 12" bass speakers. You are a great friend!
  11. Well folks... After 3 long years, I'm gonna finally bring this one back to the bench and finish it. I want to thank Dan Popeko (59 impala) for giving me the inspiration to bring it back. Last time I worked on it I got frustrated when the bodywork came apart on the drivers side, so I glued it back together and then put it away. I brought it back out today and have redone the base coat paint and added filler to the body. I'll add pictures later tonight, and then I'll work on it again and try to get it finished. Wish me luck! Until later, keep watching!
  12. Well Dan... Since I've been watching you rebuild this car, I've decided to try and finish the Corvette Limo. The seam on the left side of the body where the 2 bodies joined together snapped apart way back when, and I glued it back together and then put it away for a few years. You've given me the inspiration to work on it again with the 2 builds you've been working on(the Mako Shark II, and the '65). I'll post pics here in a day or so of the progress. Thank you for helping me get back to it!
  13. The aluminum is a vast improvement! From the looks of it the body itself is sitting tail down. If you can adjust the body a bit to where it is up in the back, it may help the hood to sit level... Just a thought.
  14. The stretched frame is coming together nicely. You're doing some excellent work on this!
  15. Talk about spoiling your kid... http://autos.yahoo.com/news/man-charged-for-letting-nine-year-old-drive-ferrari--video-235946554.html
  16. Thanks Bill!!! Those links will definitely come in handy! I completely appreciate you posting those!!!
  17. I bought a friends model collection, and it included 9 volt battery plugs, LED lights in different colors, fiber optic filliments, and some other odds and ends. I've been wondering how myself to use them to add working lights to models, and wouldn't mind seeing how it's done.
  18. I'll let you know when I start on the build. I have so many now going, what difference will another make?
  19. For the man on the go... Just don't drive behind him!
  20. Thanks Dr. Kerry!!! Found the Cadicious body on Evilbay, I might use either the roof from the Jimmy Flintstone '59 caddy hearse or the roof from the Ecto 1...
  21. Looks awesome Dan! Keep it going.
