Thanks Chris. looking the Revell kit of 540 K Cabriolet (ex Monogram I believe), i found the wheels much better! left the Heller after sanded, right the Revell,... don't need to search far! a big trouble soluced! -
A so nice plane! I decided to add lights and interior, it's a special version: the " Parisian Special" fly" joined N.Y. - Paris by Air France airlines. The kit is the 1/72 scale from Heller. very simple scratch interior, after closed, just a little could be seen! I'm working on the earlier, the L-749

I added the mesh. it's a small filter for water system. I saw KA-Model wire wheels but no precision of the size, only "for Italeri, Revell, Fujimi" and no more indications about the kits. a Heller favorite detailed part, the direction! 5 arms articulation! you should use molten plastic to join, but too small to do it... engine detailed now i have to sand the 4 rims! -

You mean all is wrong! but great job. He should try something more common. but he'll expect more money because it's a Bugatti! -

of course we appreciate to know more, don't know a lot about Jo-Han, only very precious models, as the Bugatti Royale "Binder coupé de Ville". -

I have same feelings about wheels, with others Revell and Italeri 1/24 kits. so I believe it's about the original car, or bad 1/24 plans they used all? I will tell you in few months! -

you're right about chromed parts, i's an unsual way to make cheap parts! but not very different with others 70s model cars kits (only Monogram, the regreat "school" of popular model cars kits) about 1/16 300 SL cabriolet, i meet troubles with paints of body parts, so I have to repaint theses. Still working on the engine and mechanic parts. pictures in few days! -
Thanks sjordan to support! it's a 1/8 kit, with metal and plastic parts. popular kit, need to be upgraded. not so easy to build, but i'm confident to upgrade.

HI. very inequal quality. some parts in metal, many in plastic. very disappointed to see chromed parts are in plastic chromed, and not in full metal. strange and not very fare according the final cost (around 1100 €). not agree with the easy way to build and amateur notice. many parts need to be repaint and adjusted to be conform with the original. but not adviced builders can do it, with many errors! only one paint color scheme, not histori color, so i decided to repaint with my personal choice. Waiting to see special effects, as the hydraulic suspension working, but not confident. But i'm not an amateur builder, so i know to scratch an perfect the kit. let me know your comments!

The French absolute car, a technical and design "revolution" in 60s. Probably american people never known before, but a "star" in the recent TV serie "The mentalist" the concept was so technically advanced (hydraulic suspensions, brakes, drive), and design never seen, the cars market wasn't ready to buy. It ruined Citroën builder in efforts to promote the car, and Michelin tyres manufacturer took the opportunity to buy the group (now in Peugeot corporation). during 10 years Citroën ingeniors continued to improve the car, and at least DS 23 Injection Pallas is the perfect evolution of the "French touch" in cars world. the kit is from Spanish builder Agostini, and it's a subscription building, with monthly postmailed parts. first step was to choose another color that the purpose. and to paint! a "Santal Brown" typic Citroën last 60s now i work in the engine, a pipes and wires "jungle" ! just to show the scale, closed to my Bugatti Royale 1/24 model:

I'm in my Mercedes period! in fact i'm working on a diorama with a Messerchmidt BF 109 G6 1/24 scale with figures, and i want to add a Mercedes of this area. I already built a Revell and Italeri Mercedes 540 K kits, but I want to try this unfamous french kit by Heller manufacturer. i don't see anything wrong in review kit, only doors and interior in chromed parts starting the work, my first surprise is to cement the two parts of the rear body. Plastic is tender, so with some plastic card pieces it will be easy to renforce junction.

Bugatti Royale roadster Esders 1/24 conversion
debaronFR replied to debaronFR's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks for informations. but it's not 1/24 scale! to speak truly, i'll not make the side vents in this build. I started one year ago, and now I wish to see it finished. My project was to have an idea of the car in 1/24 scale 3D and to test my capacity to build it in scratch parts. I know how to do it, and i'll start a new one with easyer ways and more details, as engine, doors and others openings. I'm not quite satisfied about many small details, so it's too late to perfect this model. -

I saw pictures of the Wingrove model. It's a fabulous model car! I read he was permanently in contact with the first owner, Dr Fuchs, so I believe this model car is the perfect reconstitution of the delivery car. I hope i'll be in capacity, some day, to start a such big project you're doing! -
