  1. Model builder's instructions for the above: Take a block of wood and carve away everything that doesn't look like a motorcycle.
  2. AMT XR-6 was a one-and-done, right? Same with the '66 Craftsman T-bird - I think that's the only case where the tool is known to still exist? Of course the 1911 Chevy touring was probably the best-known one-off.
  3. "Potato, potato, tomato, tomato, let's call the whole thing off - I'm sorry, Mr. Gershwin and Mr. Gershwin but I don't get the point of this song?"
  4. Sorry to hear actor Richard Roundtree, star of the Shaft trilogy, passed away at 81 after a fight with pancreatic cancer. In his honor, here's the car/boat/helicopter chase from Shaft's Big Score!: https://youtu.be/u0sUO_unxPs?si=f_TPLXN7yKtT6BL-&t=5183 Here and in Earthquake as daredevil Miles Quade, nobody rocked black leather like Roundtree!
  5. Thanks for the input! I've seen a toy hauler that had been converted into a sheriff's office that might have worked - secure doors and windows, lots of built-in drawers and workbench, no built-in furniture to be removed - but it had some body damage and floor rot in the bathroom, so I passed. The upcoming Gene Winfield auction has a trailer I like, but there's a LOT of drama going on with the estate right now (and that's putting it mildly) so I'll keep other sources in mind as well.
  6. Situation comedies feature long-dead audience members in the laugh track.
  7. "Side of Beef Pink" was Dick Bringloe's description of the color of his '48 Chevy in the April 1971 issue of Rod & Custom.
  8. Like the heading says, anyone here tried to use a motorhome, travel trailer or office trailer as a model workroom? It may be some years before I have access to any extra space in my house (long story), but there's room for something movable (and out here in my desert neighborhood lots of folks have them, so complaints are unlikely). Voices of experience will be appreciated!
  9. Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean was a 1983 Robert Altman film based on Ed Graczyk's Broadway play.
  10. Never got into Lost in Space, but I am familiar with Mark Goddard from the memorable Adam-12 episode "Elegy for a Pig", in which he played Officer Pete Malloy's first partner who was killed in the line of duty.
  11. Not happening on my desktop but happening on my laptop (both Chrome).
  12. Let me get under your window first! Good to hear! I had to make a mold from the rear panel, and cast it in clear resin to get backup lenses. Got the engine and underhood stuff from the wagon and El Camino.
  13. SteveG, any chance we could get a stock air cleaner/single carb in the '60? Anyone else know of a source for one?
  14. Great to see the '64 Chevelle, especially with a separate hood like it should have had in the first place. Also note the wire wheel covers instead of the tri-bar jobs the originals had.
