  1. I am off on the chassis to interior tub fit and now my front bumper doesn't line up. Over all I am happy with the kit, but it does have its quirks.....I'll know on the next two......

I had my cab off and on about 6 times, (which is very hard on paint) and it seemed like the dash area may have been what was hitting the inside of the body. I lowered the dash but, it did not help. I then trimmed the front outside edges of the interior but, that did not help either. I have heard that the window cause the fit problem but, it was not clear to me. I have one more F350 to build and I am going to do a lot of trial fit before I paint anything.

I like your work so far Ghoodii I can't wait to see the finished product!

  2. I wonder if any of these tires will fit the new F350 kit wheels

I tried to put one on the F350 Meng wheel and it was too tight, the tire did not seal around the edges of the rim like the stock tires did. However, it seemed that the wheel could possibly be sanded down in the center to fix the problem. Fireball model works suggested that the tires can be trimmed to fit other wheels, you will have to decided for yourself on that.

  3. I am just guessing here, but maybe they chose the F350 as they can get two version from almost the same tooling, meaning, doing a dually version as well, we all know model companys try and maximize the most out of tooling, and picking subjects they can maybe do different variations of .

Or, maybe Meng liked the F350 better then the 150's

I have just started working on my kit, and I like it so far. Did you notice that the instructions story text mentioned both the Dually and Single tire rear axle trucks? I get the feeling that it was a prelude to their next kit.

  4. Anyone know of a good/easy color to use for the water reservoirs for the truck? It's actually transparent, but what color(s) would replicate it the bestest?

Anyone have a good mix that they think works good?

    Thanks in advance.

I tried this method recently, and I am still on the fence about this method.... First, paint the tank green to the level that you want the coolant. Then paint the whole resevoir with a thin white primer such as Tamiya brand, or duplicolor. The primer will let the green show through making a transparent effect.

    See what you think,

  5. Yes, eBay (not the seller) bases the estimated shipping time assuming the seller has it and will ship immediately after purchase. The seller can't change that, it's done by eBay's software. Seller was more than clear in their description, no need for negative feedback.

Our company doesn't do pre-sales on eBay for this reason. On our own site we have to ability to change shipping notices (and people still pre-order items thinking they'll ship immediately).

I recently purchased an item from West Virginia and the Ebay software made a prediction of a 3 day shipping time. In my opinion, it would take a miracle to arrive that quickly. Two days later, actual shipping was going to take 5 days. Reality, and estimated shipping are no where close.

  6. You know that price is for shipping by sea right ?

I am in no hurry. I am working on other projects at the moment. Hopefully, when the F-350 arrives I will be ready to start on it. Also, I have bought from HobbyEasy a couple of other times with no problems.

  8. Thanks Everyone! I appreciate it. Umm, I was afraid that someone would ask that question at some point. The problem is that I really don't know, which sounds funny, but it actually is true...But here are a couple of pictures so that maybe someone can tell me what these exactly are. I bought a set of these from a local craft store. I'm pretty sure that they are some parts for electrical components, but I don't know what they exactly are. This set has 300 of them in different sizes and it cost about 7 Euros.DSCN0672_zps58adedd6.jpgDSCN0671_zps7f1803d5.jpg To use them only thing you have to do is remove that colored plastic part. It comes off very easily with a couple of light knocks with a little hammer.

I found out that they are called bootlace ferrules http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/bootlace-ferrule
