  1. Thanks again JT. Man I am sure glad someone else thinks like me on the cheap primer and flat black. I've been using both of them and had great results. As I've found if you prep right in the first place the cheap stuff works pretty darn good as a primer. I doesn't hide the details either. Super thanks again JT for the info. Man I learn something on this forum each and every time I visit.

  2. Wow, thanks guys for ALL the information given. As just getting going on true detail work on kits over the past years I wanted to try and duplicate this kit as close to 1:1 as I could. With my skill level that is. I will continue to do the research and see what I can find. Thanks for the input.

Jesse, where bouts in NC are you? I am a native from outside of Raleigh. Went to HS in Garner, NC.

  3. Hello all. I did a search first and didn't see anything regarding this question (I could be wrong) but can you get paint to stick on BMF. I just did a dash / instrument panel on a Revell Peterbilt. Tried cutting the circles out with no luck. I was wondering if I could get paint to stick on the foil? Thanks in advance for any hints !

  4. Greetings. I have the Revell #7601 Kit (was molded in Green). I am trying to get new clear plastic. I need the windshield, rear window, and rear side windows. I've contact Revell and they just told me that these parts are unavailable. So I'm looking at the other Cuda kits like the 85-4268 2 n 1 kit. Does anyone know if this or any Current kits have the same parts that will fit? Thanks in advance for any help.

  5. Greetings all. Hope I am posting this question in the right area of the forum. I have a magnify lamp that I need to mount on the workbench. In the past I have been able to use the C-Style clamp that came with it. With my new bench setup I need to use a base mount. I have found this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0061QAVB0/ref=dra_a_cs_lb_hn_it_P1400_1000?tag=dradisplay-20 which I am sure it would work but wanted to see if someone had any DIY ideas. The lamp is pretty heavy as it it a commercial ElectriX. I have it currently just in a hole on the bench and it is a real pain to move and set in place when working. Thanks in advance to any ideas.
