  1. No you can choose different ride heights so that’s at the lowest setting but it didn’t need any modifications
  2. Thanks for the comment, I’m from Carlow. No need to ask where you are from. It’s nice to see somebody else from Ireland on here, I don’t think there’s many
  3. Thanks, yes most of the decals were used so I had to order new Carrera and Porsche decals from scale production and paint around some others
  4. So I haven’t posted here in a while but this is a bit of a celebration as I have been building this for 5 years. I purchased this from eBay as a built model and it arrived worse than I could imagine, it was a complete glue bomb, the body had been brush painted with the thickest enamel I have ever seen, the interior and whole drivetrain was painted thick black. I broke it all apart and put the body and interior in brake fluid for about 6 months! And it still didn’t shift anything! Discouraged I put it back in the box for about 2 years until I discovered dettol, 24 hours later I had a clean body. I had to paint the engine and interior around the decals but they turned out ok I think. Apologies in advance as this is pretty pic heavy
  5. Just finished this one. I made a few changes as I went along, the old front bumper was cut off and the new one added on, lowered the suspension, flocked carpet and parcel shelf, detailed the dashboard, cut out sunroof, changed the drivers seat for a Recaro, aftermarket wheels, scratch build exhaust pipe and fujimi metal muffler. It's painted with Halfords Ford purple aerosol and Halfords lacquer.
  6. I bought my nephew a model kit a few months back which he assembled by himself and very strangely took care of and didn't break in bits apart from the rear glass engine cover. They are a very simplified kit and are lacking in detail but for a kid of his age it was ideal. He cornered me recently and said he wanted it painted blue so I took the chance to detail it while I was at it I fully stripped it down, detailed the full interior, painted the glass, added projectors to the headlamps, detailed the engine and chassis, stripped the chrome off the wheels and painted black, prepped the body then painted metallic blue and laqured. 2 hours later (the quickest build I have ever done) and I was left with this.
  7. I started this about three years ago and lost one of the headlights so shelved it, I eventually ordered s new kit just for the lense and finally finished it. It took a lot of modification to cut the bumpers off and lower the suspension but I think it turned out pretty good It's also the first time I used a fujimi muffler and I am going to order a load of them, they are awesome. http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr303/willciviceg5/integra/EC5CF780-E1F6-4C8A-8B35-D0B8CB6E95F7.jpg]

  9. Just finished this one. Usual Tamiya quality so went together easy, this was one that I had previously started painting the body which I made a mess of so then put away. I dug the body out of the stash and put in the detol bath and then started the interior while it was soaking for 3 days. It's also the first time that I have flocked the interior of the car, this is now something I will be doing on all my future builds. Apart from that and lowering it is box stock
  10. First revell model and I'm impressed, it went together really easy. I've since painted the door handles and cleaned the polish out of the gaps. It's my forth model completed and my painting skills are getting better Any comments welcome.
  11. Nearly finished, I probably should have painted the wheels bronze. What do people use to tint windows? Is it just a case of using regular car tint film?
  12. The wheel displayed on the box don't actually come with it so I ordered the correct mugen wheels for it. The wheels that I got were male fitment though and I had to cut up the kit wheels to make them fit, I just cut the centre hub off the originals and glued them on to the pin in the new wheels The suspension had to be dropped quiet a bit so I chopped the shocks and heated and bent the front subframe to match the under carrige nearly finished
  13. Usual Fujimi quality, I had to cut the original bumper off and try make the Mugen one fit, I had to cut out the vent holes in the bumper aswel. The paint isn't perfect but I'm not changing it now.
