  2. Hello kitmakers.

I hope most builders will agree this post.

These years, you have offered really great cars in kit forms. You brung us back 1960s classic Muscle, 1970s Econoboxes, Vans, Wagons, light-tricks, etc.  Maybe it's time to explore a new way.

GM has offered endless variations of 1973-1977 A-body "Colonnade" coupes. And almost no one is offered in scale, just the 1976 Revell Chevy Montecarlo, that sells good for a curbside with no Stock version. I'm sure you would success, offering 1973 Malibu SS, 1977 Olds 4-4-2, 1973 GTO or 1977 Can-Am. Still weird for the good-old aging Pre-1973 public, these cars are getting more and more popular. They are considered as true classics on both the Lowrider and Restomod scene, and as much as we getting distance from the 1970s, they are gaining charm.

Both of you, big kitmakers, have existing 1:25 underpinings to reduce development costs. We could even be happy of curbsides for starters, and each model will find at least 3 declination :

    -1973 Chevy Malibu SS

-1973 Chevy Malibu Baldwin-Motion Phase III

    -1973 Chevy Montecarlo

    -1973 Buick GS455

-1975 Buick Century Indy Pace Car

    -1973 Pontiac GTO

    -1973 Pontiac Grand Am

    -1977 Pontiac Grand-Prix

    -1977 Pontiac Can-Am

    -1973 TO 1977  Olds 4-4-2

    -1973 to 1977 Hurst Olds

All offered in Stock, Lowrider, Pimpmobile or Disco Street-machine with Mickey Thompson tires on American 200S...

Come on guys, show muscles ! :)

We compiling information and making 3D prints to offer conversion kits for the new Revell kit.

We really could use UNTOUCHED kits to document the sprues and individual parts from the two previous kits.

I have 2 of the new kits on the way to Utah

We are on Facebook should you care to offer kit photos in HIGH RESOLUTION

     Hi Gene

How great is that idea !

I'm living in Europe, so I'll probably get a few of these kits. Maybe WAY more than expected if you provide good parts 😃

  4. This is an old subject.

I've been hoping for them for 10 years (71 Rivi, any FWD Eldo, Lincoln Mk V, Pontiac Grandville, Buick Centurion, 1976 Cadillac Limousine, etc). We've had a few approaching subjects with the Low-rider wave. But now ?  Did Revell sell enough 77 Monte-Carlos to pay the mold engineering ? What about the 1984 Cadillac ? Isn't the Low-rider trend oldfashion with modelers ? So, why these kits haven't been slightly modified to sell more ( stock 1980 Caddy, 1984 Fleetwood Brougham, 1974 Monte-Carlo, 1977 Olds 4-4-2). Where's the money ? The money ? MONEY ???

I just guess we had a golden era for Land yachts, and today is all about 80s and 90s. Or the good old Hot-Rod/60s subjects.

Nevermind, you know what 1970s car I'd buy by dozens today  if they had it kitted ? Mercedes R107s.

  5. I wish someone offered decals for these T/As. Keith Marks offers great 1:24 ones (that's how I built my 1974 SD-455). But 79-81s still exist in various scales, from 1:25 to 1:8. Converting this reissue in a 305ci 1980, or just repainting a 1:8 TTA with fresh decals would be just amazing.
