It's the Monogram kit from around 97 I think. The letters are barely raised from the rest of the tire. I'll give it a shot though as I have a huuuge box of 1/24 tires to practice with. Thank you very much for the tip, as maybe I used too much paint before.

So I have tried that, but it seems to put yellow all around the tire and not just on the Goodyear and Eagle portion. Am I doing something wrong???

WOW...excellent work!! Can you explain how you did the tire lettering?? I've always had problems with that especially in 1/24.

OK, so years ago I "finished" a Monogram Dale Earnhardt kit. Being without the net at the time, I was unable to determine how to paint the yellow Goodyear on the tires and thus left them black. It's always bothered me with this model, because everything else turned out great. In the past I've tried free hand painting the raised portions without good results of various other tires. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any tips on removing paint from clear window parts? Years ago my brother decided to "tint" the windows on one of my built up Pantera kits. I recently decided to try and fix it, but am unsure how to get the paint off and not damage the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. I haven't built a model since the early 90's but used to have quite an extensive collection waaaaay back then! Since I've gotten a bit "older" I've started looking at building some of my old large scale kits due to the eyes not being what they used to be for the 1/24. I have (2) of the original release 57 chevy 1/12's I'm looking to build making one a pro street and the other a gasser. Always looking to learn new things and get ideas. Enough of my ramblings, just glad to be here looking at all the talented builds. Shawn

Been out of modeling for a while...used to use the old Testors glue that strung out everywhere when gluing parts together. What's the best out there now???
