I can see why sellers would be upset about Ebay's new policies. As a buyer, I am, too. I pay for items, immediately, only to watch it sit for days on end, while the seller waits to receive money that's already come out of my account. Maybe if we buyers complain to them, they will explore options. It's pretty dadgum frustrating!

I have the brakes installed. I made the throttle pedal from brass strip and rod. It's been dipped in Blacken-It. I'll add some sheen to it, either with Rub N Buff or some graphite. Next up, I will drill the fuel tank, and insert bungs for the outlet, return and tank vent. The main line and return will run along the right side of the cockpit, along the bottom frame tube. I am trying to decide/figure out if I want to install a motorcycle battery to power an electric fuel pump, and where to put it; Or, figure out if I can/how to do it, use the magneto to power an electric fuel pump. Ideally, the electric pump allows me to use the Webers on the cross ram. Otherwise, I'm likely stuck with a boring, old Hilborn, with the cam-driven pump. Anyhoo...thanks for looking. As always, questions, critiques and comments are welcome!

Most of those Switchers had some very redeeming qualities about them I remember buying the Model T (sedan?) when they were originally released. I have one of the later reissues of the '32, now. It's been oft-said that they were overlooked because they were deemed "gimmicky".

Thank you, my friend! I have nothing on guys like you and Tim and Charlie--except fun--I'm sure I have just as much fun! ? I did use my mill to drill this, so I can cut them into "T"s for the brake lines. Sorry I missed this. Yes, sir, I do. With the 80tpi wheels, not 100tpi, as I reported erroneously, at an earlier date!

Here are a few I have gotten over the last few weeks. I've been buying the '67s for the intake manifolds. I bought this one so I would have a complete kit. I've always loved the "Mako Shark" era 'Vettes, and the Greenwood racers were always cool. I just received the McLaren, today. I had one way back when the 8B was released. I never built it, but, I might build this one! It's kind of one of those kits (we probably all have at least a few) that it just feels comforting, to have around, due to its nostalgia. The '57 I bought, because I love Revell's snap '34 Ford and '70 Chevelle kits, and have read raves about this one, so...yeah!

I did all of that stuff, and still built models! I must be some really special kind of weirdo! ? Although, to be honest, I've always preferred cannabis to alcohol. I had a CDL for 12 years, and, because I couldn't smoke, I drank. I didn't complete a single project, in that entire span. I dabbled, but, I just didn't have the creative fire. Four-and-a-half years ago, I decided that I no longer wanted to carry a CDL. I went to the dispensary, and my muse returned. In that span, I have put seven new completed projects in my display case! An added bonus (for me) has been that it's helped me to lose 65 pounds, because I'm not dwelling on whiskey and food, and often go sixteen hours, or more, between meals. I feel better, and I am much happier. Sorry, I am digressing from the topic at hand.

I used the knurling tool on my Sherline. No apologies needed-I kind of have a thing for them, myself! Thank you, Andrew.

I've been working on the brake pedal and master cylinder. The pedal is mounted, the master cylinder isn't, yet. The master cylinder is scratched from various Evergreen and Plastruct. I turned the cap from 1/8" aluminum rod. The pedal is soldered brass (I've concocted a story, behind it). I'm working on the fittings for the brake lines, from the master cylinder, currently. Thanks for looking!

I can't find definitive a part number (maybe LC18100), but it's their 18# test lead core trolling line, multicolored. -
Braided Fishing Line

I hope to be better equipped to answer that, soon. The first spool I bought (pictured above) was at Walmart. I have one I ordered, arriving soon. I don't recall, off the top of my head, exactly what it is, but, I ordered it, because it is a smaller diameter. I will report back, once I have it. -
Braided Fishing Line

None of the packaged braided lines appear to be in scale, to me. That was always Mark's feeling, as well. That's the only reason I started really looking at the braided fishing line. -
Braided Fishing Line

I bought some Spider Wire. It doesn't look the same as this. It's slicker looking, and lacks the definition of the braid, to my eye. But, yes, there's a lot of fishing gear that can be very useful. I have a bunch of spools of lead free wire in several diameters that I bought from a fly tying outfit! I found this spool in Walmart. -
My late friend, Mark Brown always suggested braided fishing line as braided line on scale models. I hadn't found the stuff I knew he was talking about, until just the other day, while looking for something flexible, to make braided lines to the calipers on my supermodified. This stuff is lead core, and is about .040". It's made by Tuf Line in Grand Junction, CO. I colored these two sections with A: (Closest to the end) silver Sharpie and B: Molotow Chrome pen. I deliberately cropped the photo large, so the detail shows up better. The other photo shows the lead core, which has been somewhat imprinted by the braid. Now, I really understand what Mark was talking about! I am currently searching for other diameters.

Very, very nicely done! I have a few figures around here. I have one, with a few of the base colors applied. I began painting it so long ago, that, if/when I resume work on it, I will have to try to match some of them by mixing, before I can create the highlights and shadows. I also have one of the old "Phoenix Follies" figures--I never started on it, though. I will definitely be checking back in, on this.
