  1. Thanks, it is funny how a simple childhood hobby can becomes such a big part of an adults life!
  2. Fruedian slip! Eric... Sorry

  4. Looks amazing. Would you share your technique for flocking?
  5. Thank you everyone!
  6. You had me right up to the decals, but I do like the build. I find decal selection can really Boggs me down sometimes.
  7. Eric's Handbuilt Coaches. Always an educational moment. Im so lame
  8. Thanks guys. The piecrust wheels are from a Parts Pack I believe, Dave I'll be right over! I wasn't sure about the tail lights, but did it anyway just to be different. I like'em now. I like the unfinished look of a Hot Rod too, the louvered lid came from a 1/24 32 Ford glue bomb I found at a show. I just cut it down to fit. I do not remember where the slicks came from, but I wanted something bigger, that's why the change. Thanks again...
  9. As some of you may know it is very difficult for me to paint this time of year. And I won't risk ruining a proper build. But do to circumstances beyond my control I have time on my hands. So this just happened because I was bored. This was put together from parts just laying around, 29 frame, 32 body smoothed and chopped, Rat Rod engine, 64 Chevy tail lights, Pontiac interior and pieces parts from the stash. Tamyia Coral Blue and German Grey.
  10. Thx
  11. Keeping with the "What ever I got laying around" theme...
  12. Coming along nicely!
  13. Seriously
  14. Yeah, kinda rough on the pants leg! But thanks for the positive vibes.... It's gonna end up Drag with a little bigger slick, and would be totally streetable too! I think it should run in the "Gasser" class
  15. Great Model!

    What they say^^^^
  17. Just kind of a mix of parts laying around...
  18. My explanation would be, you build a car model from the outside, and planes build from the inside out!
  19. I have tried a plane or two but to no avail. And while I have seen and heard many arguments about them, I find them very interesting. The techniques used to build planes seem opposite to building cars, IMO. I do enjoy a nice WWI plane!
  20. I too find it difficult to not type how I feel. Sometimes ready a message two or three time so as to not be mis understood. And this post has nothing to do with my experience here on this forum. It was however posted to have dialogue about your being here.
  21. In theory, you are correct. In reality there are issues. Such as opinions, personalities, differences and most importantly the ability to hide behind a keyboard! It is easy to type, something you would not say to ones face. Simple to argue a point or start contention while sitting in the comfort of your home. Just looking for thoughts and conversation here, I have no agenda.
  22. Exactly what is the point? Why do we post here? Why is there a need for a "model forum"? What does this forum mean to you? What does it matter? Who needs it? Who doesn't? Why bother? Is there another way? A better way? I have no idea...
  23. I would never have imagined vehicles like this had you not shared your build here. Very well done, Thanks!
