  1. 1/12 that is big, looks very cool!
  2. Not right now. Unfortunately my ability to paint requires warmer weather. So I wait and build.
  3. 6bbl, very convincing! Thank you.
  4. The nice thing is making what ever size needed and I hope to add some kind of lower support brackets. The lights are smaller diameter than the kit lights and going back to the pic of the black roadster you can see tha tank hanging on the light bar. Thanks
  5. One thing we can all agree on is most kit Moon tanks stink! Today I discovered a BIC pen is just the right size diameter to make one of these look presentable. The ID is a close fit for the end piece and simply flush cutting the tank free from the other allows for good results. And no I couldn't leave the lights and bar alone... What'd ya think?
  6. Love me some restorations. I built that kit many moons ago and liked everything but the scale. I'm just funny about staying with 1/25.
  7. I like it, and that interior looks nice. I find being productive is better than lying in bed hoping for sleep.
  8. Scratch made some suitable headers yesterday. Not the best collector but I did not glue them yet, I think with some smaller tubing I could make them better.
  9. Nicely done. It will really pop with clean and BMF.
  10. Sits real nice Dave, the wheels look a lot better than the kit supplied ones. I know you can do the paint justice on this also!
  11. I always enjoy some scratch building and your doing some nice stuff here. I do have a question. The original car engine set back does not appear to be as drastic as your rendition. And though the opening is larger than the blower, the block seems to end where the fire wall would be. Your model has the blower cut clear into the dash! Is this intentional or am I missing something? I'll brace myself and wait for an answer...
  12. First of the new calendar year. Moving onto the engine, from a Revell 69 Mustang with some modified pieces. I got some parts from "Davemodeltech" and quickly cut things up for this project. Making Chevy parts for a Ford is a lot like putting a square peg in a round hole! But I believe when it is all finished it will be fine.
  13. Nice looking build so far.
  14. Just tinkering with a few ideas, but I think I'm on to something. Right now I'm fitting an injection intake from Fred's Resin, working out the stance and misc. pieces.
  15. So nice, and cleanly done.
  16. Outstanding subject and execution. Love the old circle track cars.
  17. Thx guys
  18. One of my weakest points is being consistent with Alclad. Yours looks good from here!
  19. Most beautiful model and a great restoration.
  20. Here are a few pieces I've gathered so far. Still haven't found a power plant though? I am thinking Blue Oval. I'm also not sold on just these parts, I'm sure some better things can be found or Made!
  21. Styrene rod, self bent.
  22. For the new year I'm visiting an old idea. Tim Boyd did an article years back on this subject which inspired my to build this. My new build will be inspired by this,
