  1. I'm liken your progress, looks good.
  2. No real color choice yet, but I would like to keep it vintage. Thanks for the comments also guys. I'm planning out how to put the driprail back next. I believe I'd like to smooth things up first, soak the fenders in some paint remover and finish adjusting the body fit and finish. To pull the rear fenders in tighter I scribed this portion of the inner fender and removed just enough material to make a tighter fit. I also filled in the holes where the bumper brackets were on the trunk area.
  3. Working on this turd trying to get the fit right. It really is pour design by 21 century standards but I'm having fun with it non the less. I replaced the trim and it's just about ready for filler.
  4. Thanks again guys, Yes Andy I do! Normally I would not start this many builds. I've been pretty disciplined in my builds. But between working out of town and not being able to paint, I choose to build. I do have a plan to put up a booth in my construction office!
  5. Thanks guys! Al not really sure it's a 100 mile round trip from my job site, if I can I will. Here is the basic look I'm trying to get...
  6. Thanks guys! I forgot to mention, I have put this build off for a few years now but when I found this 40 buried in a box and marked $5. I knew I could do it!
  7. As if I needed something else to start! With winters firm grip on northeast Ohio I have been forced to build and not paint at this point. One of the to do cars on my 2016 build list is a 40 Ford Custom. Chopping one of these is no easy task if you want it to look right. I have a Revell Standard kit that will not be chopped. I picked up an AMT 40 in a bag at a swap meet this weekend and decided to take the saw in hand. here is what I have done so far... Using this drawing I found on the HAMB, I made the same cuts as close as I could.
  8. Searching through the archives and found this gem, nice work!
  9. Good to see some kit bashing of like models to get the one your looking for.
  10. Always enjoy a good custom. Nice mods so far.
  11. Amazing how much noise one little filter can make!
  12. Looks good Eric, now just some real detail to that engine and you'll be good to go! LOL Is that right? You to are cornfusing me!
  13. Looks really good, nice body mods.
  14. Paint design options, fade and panels.
  15. Our club is doing a group build, theme is calendar cars. I'll have to shuffle a few things around but this is my entry. Finished or not by June! Wheels from ebay, "forward_resin" did a nice job on these, reasonably priced too. The hood was made with the help of a Nova SS cowl.

Unique color combo. Pick with hood in place?
  17. Back on the road for some more away building. Just about got the body sorted out and the front suspension is fitting good.

    Thank you to all!
  19. My favorite completions for 2015...
  20. Good on ya Mike, Akron has to be one of the worst municipalities to deal with. Now through up some insulation and drywall that space, your gonna need some heat!
  21. If the axle points are offset the easiest way would be to simply flip them over and switch the left and right. Moving the pin upward is an option also
  22. So I took this home for the holiday so I could fit some parts and apply a sanding coat of primer. I am liking this version more than the first attempt. I'm using Playdo to cover the chrome headlights while doing body work and I'm thinking about some custom chrome strips from the lights to the rear line of the doors, which will be re-scribed later.
  23. A dremel and wheel might be the best choice, just grind off a small amount and test fit often!
  24. Welcome back and your first in 20 looks good too!
