Hi all well it's finished (I was going to put HT leads on it but got fed up with them keep falling off so they can stay off) the rear lights are supposed to have little bullets in them but I like the look without them so left them off. the top is supposed to be a complete dome but I thought that wasnt very practible so I made it a convertible

Hi all here is where I am at now. wont be finished today as we have family all day so I just sneaked a quick go this morning, only got the light lenses front and rear then the dome to go on and the HT leads, a little touching up where I have not been too neat with my brush painting, so should finish tomorrow.

Nope didn't know that, that's an interesting fact never heard of it other than the Revell model. As you say never liked the colour though.

Well I dont think the new version can be any better than your older one.you need 8 arms and 16 pairs of hands The rear suspension is a real pig Here is todays offering Think I may do away with the fender decals, as it seems no amout of Micro sol or Micro set will take the wrinkles out of them. did some more dirtying of the engine

Hi all just a quickie as a break. I am doing the Beatnik Bandit (Not the correct colours) I never build as it's supposed to be, unless it's a definitive article. Nope don't build the way it's supposed to be, 2 reasons for that. 1: Hides my bad modeling skills(cant say its wrong if its being deliberately done wrong from the start) 2: I like being different. So Here's my start. I want the engine to look like it's been around a while, not like it's just come out of the custom shop.

Thanks for the tip Miles. Well I think I'm calling the garage finished. I could add more detail but I think it would detract from the packard. so what do you think should I add more or leave it there.

Here is todays bit on the packard. the fuel pump and filter are not included with the kit so I decided to have a go at making them. and I had a go at making the seats look like old cracked leather(quite unsuccessfully) any suggestions ?

Hi all here is tonights episode. I drilled out the distributor so I could put the HT leads in. then I made the HT leads out of thin solder wire. Then I cut them to length and squished the ends to make the tabs to connect them to the spark plugs. Then I noticed from the ref photos I have that there are rivets and badges on the starter motor and solinoid so I added them. still loads of detail to add to the engine bay, got an idea for making the jubilie clips for the radiator hoses and I am going to attempt to make the fuel pump and assossiated pipes as they are only vaugley moulded into the firewall.

Well I've done some weathering on the engine, I am aiming to make this as realistic as i can (so dont expect too much) I thought I would start the weathering the engine before I put all the other bits on as it wont be so easy to get at once they are on.
