Are my eyes playing tricks on me or are those wheels(kit wheels?) two toned? Beautiful work though and I love the hood and engine!!

Yep they are two toned and yes they are the kit wheels lol.

  2. So this has been done for a little bit now but this was a challenge I set for myself. I started it on a Tuesday after work with the goal to be done by Saturday morning. I did it and the icing on the cake…. It won the street machine class at the show that Saturday. Very simple build overall. It is the F&F kit with an iceman engine. I stripped and shaped the bumpers to fit the body right then pretty much just put the kit together out of the box.

  3. Welp if you’re on Luka’s page on Facebook you know about the 67 gto group build. So I wanna keep track of mine on here too. Kits not terrible. So far most of my parts have come in, I have corrected some of the body issues suck as panel lines and trim missing and the bumpers fitment. I also have added the vinyl top. Waiting for a couple of things to come in before I keep rolling on it.

Very Very Nice. Where do you race at?

    Mike

I actually don’t race as of now. There is a track about a hour south of me in Maryland I’m gonna check out.

Those are PRETTY! I like the shiny one the best........ LoL!

Are they all for slot cars? Did some of them start out as kits?

These all start out as kits. I pull all the body parts and things that I need to do them. Then they’ll be fitted and pinned to a chassis.

Hey Lewis, did you have this at ACME this year? It’s a beautiful build.

Yessir I did. Had it right up front lol.

Thanks everybody. This was just a build I wanted to throw together pretty quick. Turned into way more when I realized how much I didn’t like the grumpy kit how it came lol.

  6. Here’s my Warren Johnson Vega. Took some work but I’m pretty happy with the final product. Wish I would have done a little more research before getting to the painting process but oh well lol. The wheels, and intake are resin parts I had. The valve covers I also had laying in a parts box and the engine is from the revell nova. Other then that a couple small details, a flashy paint job and it was ready for assembly.

Don't know if I would want to go out with a woman with that color nail polish. However, it looks really good on your hot rod. Nice work chopping the top, overall one beautiful rod.

In her defense she bought herself bright yellow that day. I grabbed two bottles of this just for this build lol.

  8. Here’s my 1930 model a. This is the new revell kit. After cracking the jimmy flint stone chopped body I had I decided to try to chop it myself. Came out on in my opinion. Other than that it’s a detailed iceman engine, 3Dscaleparts wheels, tires, and headers. Color is a nail polish I found while out with the wife then cleared with 2k.

  9. Started as a buildoff on Instagram but using one of my favorite kits and a car that I will own one day I decided to build it how I want my 1:1 to be. This is probably one of my favorite builds of mine. The hood and wheels are from TX3DCustoms. I made the hood. And the brakes are from iceman collections. I also think he did the front seats. The body is painted in admiral blue from splash paints topped with a 2k clear. Hope you all like it as much as I do.

  10. Here’s my 1960 Impala. Wheels are from JPS and the engine is iceman. Other than that all the chrome was stripped and sprayed so it all was uniform. Also the seats are done with scale motor sports decals and other small details. Since finishing the car has won best of show at the mid Atlantic NNL, my local club contest, multiple awards at the NSRA show in York PA including the NSRA pick, and placed second in the iceman collections buildoff. This build was extremely fun even though I hit a stall and lost motivation in the middle.
