  1. Agree completely with both. As Slusher said, I'll believe the 30 A when I see it on a shelf (preferably my local Hobby Lobby).
  2. Actually, it doesn't say "all." https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=ke1CX7bNNLOJytMPtua-iAM&q=hobby+lobby&oq=hobby+lobby&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzIOCC4QsQMQxwEQowIQkwIyAggAMgUIABCxAzIICC4QxwEQrwEyBQgAELEDMggILhDHARCvATIICC4QxwEQrwEyCAguEMcBEK8BMgUIABCxAzIICC4QxwEQrwE6DggAEOoCELQCEJoBEOUCOggIABCxAxCDAToICC4QxwEQowI6CwguELEDEMcBEKMCOgIILjoFCC4QsQM6CAguELEDEIMBUKMmWMQ2YL05aAFwAHgAgAFZiAG9BpIBAjExmAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdperABBg&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwj22Zvsr7LrAhWzhHIEHTazDzEQ4dUDCAk&uact=5 And it says "Does not include 'Your Price' items," whatever that means.
  3. No, problem, I just need to know what it is. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be switching projects myself.
  4. It's Enjoy Every Sandwich. I found out I have that '95 WoL with Hammond on the computer. Drop me an email and I can send you an MP3 of it. You'll love it! SnakeACP45 at aol dot com
  5. Speaking of the Hammond B3: (StyreneSurfer, I know you're a Warren Zevon fan, so you'll like this story. ) Zevon would sometimes hire a relatively unknown band to back him for a concert tour. In 1992 he used Odds out of Vancouver, BC. In '95 he traveled with Something Happens, an Irish band that had a Hammond Organ. It was an excellent tour, but the cool thing was, his signature tune, "Werewolves of London," when done featuring Hammond organ, sounds amazingly like it should have been a Three Dog Night song! (I tried to find it on U2be but couldn't.)
  6. Lee Michaels' "You Know What I Mean" was a hit on heavy rotation on radio when I was in high school (and I liked it a lot). I know it's from his album 5th, which was of course his fifth album. The amazing thing is, to this this day, I've never heard another single song by or from him!
  7. LOTS of people have heard that story: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/nobodys-fuel/
  8. Didn't get it, but I saw a new diecast at HL today. Jada "Big Time Muscle" '70 Road Runner. Size and overall shape didn't look bad, certainly not the typical Jada oversized fare. Might even be 1/25. It was Go Mango orange, with large black 5-spoke wheels, and the front and rear bumpers and entire grille were black. The all-black hood had a '69-style 440+6 scoop on it. Overall not horrible, and if I didn't already have somebody else's nice diecast 1/25 stock GTX in the same color, I'd have probably bought it. But decided it wasn't worth 60% of $24.99 to me. Others might find it of interest, though. I believe this is what I saw: https://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com/1970-plymouth-road-runner-orange-with-black-hood-bigtime-muscle-1-24-diecast-model-car-by-jada/
  9. Spoiler Alert: There is NO carburetor you can put on a 1966 Toronado that will take it 200 miles on a gallon of gas. You'd be doing VERY well to get 20.
  10. Wikipedia is "the horse's mouth" now?
  11. That's what they were called by Motor Wheel Corporation, which actually made them.
  12. Sorry to hear this. May God be with you and your family, Rick.
  13. Got an email that the '68 Cougar parts I bought on SUNDAY (four days ago) had just been sent, and I could expect them between Sept. 1 and Sept. 4, which is almost two weeks from now. I've bought stuff from other people on eBay on Monday and had it in my mailbox on Thursday. Oh well, other people here have REAL problems, and I prolly won't be starting work on the Cougar before then anyway. Just irksome.
  14. Be good to have that '56 Del Ray back. I'll have to pick up another one or two.
  15. What a great resto/rescue! I LOVE stuff like this! OB should be proud of what you did with it. Well done and model on!
  16. I have no desire to see the movie. I just watched 7 hours of the real people. What could a movie with actors possibly add to the story?
  17. Don't forget to register with temp agencies. MANY big companies do ALL initial hiring through temp agencies now, and then transition people to full-time if they work out. My next-to-last job started as a 9-month temp gig (small agency, HUGE multinational corporation) that turned into 18 months and then 4 more years as a direct-hire of the company. My last job started as a 3 to 5 week gig (from Manpower) that turned into 11 months and it was the best paying job I ever had. Few if any benefits with a temp job but that's how you get your foot in the door. A side benefit is that if you can establish a personal contact with someone at a temp agency--name, phone number, email--you can list them as one of your job search contacts every week--just give them a call or send them an email. You can register with several agencies--they don't demand exclusivity. Good luck to you, old friend. Courage!
  18. This irritates me. I was never able to find a '30 coupe, but I did buy three '29 roadsters before they went extinct. Now if I buy the coupe I'll get ANOTHER Buick engine, which I really don't need, and if I want the nice Chevy engine, I have to buy ANOTHER roadster, which I also don't need.
  19. I heard a story on the radio today that NYC is dying, and for a number of reasons, won't be coming back...it's in a death spiral. You're getting out at a good time. If you have a commercial driver license you shouldn't have much trouble finding work of some sort, somewhere. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.
  20. Interesting project. Keep us posted. BTW, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that the '64-'66 Mustangs are considered the same "generation" as the '71-'73s. To me, that's four "generations" right there.
  21. They call it Chevy Engine Red. And it was used on all the big blocks until they changed to blue or black or whatever in the mid '70s. There was a Chevy Engine Orange used earlier in the decade, and on small blocks and 6s. I'd assume your L34 used the snorkel air cleaner, pending proof otherwise. ETA: Just google-imaged 1966 L34 and saw a lot of pics of BBCs with chrome valve covers, red intake manifolds, and open element air cleaners, so it looks like I was wrong. (The ones with aluminum intakes are obviously L78s.)
  22. Thanks, I'll look for that one. Just heard on the radio that the Tiger King zoo has now been permanently closed. Probably a good thing.
  23. I thought maybe you were some of the people fleeing "the apple in decay" (as Foreigner so poetically put it about 40 years ago).
