  1. At least half of one just on the interior tub posts. The rest of it's really not too bad. Now.
  2. I pre-ordered mine today, so I SHOULD be among the first to get one. Thanks! You might be interested to know that you got me exactly the same thing one of my kids did--an e-message, Another one called me on the phone. The third one didn't remember at all, evidently...or just didn't care. Oh well, I got a card and a cake from The Lovely Mrs. Snake.
  3. VERY nice! Sam & Dean, eat your hearts out! Well done and model on!
  4. Interesting idea, I'll have to see if I have a spare one of those laying around. ETA: Turns out the '69 rear valence is molded with the body. Can't remove it without ruining the whole kit. Oh well.
  5. Got my new '62 Nova glue bomb disassembled. Chassis was just screwed on, but the interior tub was REALLY glued to its rear posts. Ended up having to grind all that out with a Dremel to get the interior out. Fortunately, the glass wasn't glued at all. Next problem was the dashboard was glued so solidly to the tub I had to hammer an Xacto down into the sides like a chisel, but I got it out. OB had glued on those hideous X seat belts, and what looked like a big stuffed mouse toy or something in the back seat, so I'll have glue damage to repair in there (and the seats are molded as part of the interior tub, of course). Still, I'm more excited about this project than I've been about anything in a while. Looking forward to driving on!
  6. I love that Cher had herself cloned to sing backup for this 1987 SNL appearance. Also notice that the band is basically Letterman's band along with G.E. Smith. VERY cool performance!
  7. Very good execution of an interesting idea. Model on!
  8. If you can do it in 1/150, then HO scale should be a piece of cake. Which brings up all KINDS of interesting possibilities!
  9. PREACH IT, Brother Steven! Can I get a AY-men from the choir?
  10. Sorry to hear this, Rick.
  11. Watched the "Baby" episode this afternoon. Looks like almost the entire show was shot from inside the car. At the end, it's pretty beat up. Wonder if anyone will model it that way? Sorry, but the show just seems lame to me. I have better guns (and knives) than the stuff I've seen on there so far. It's not particularly humorous or interesting in any way. It reminds me a lot of NBC's Grimm of a few years ago, which I similarly grew tired of after a couple seasons of watching the heroes fight the "monster of the week" in improbable and silly ways. I didn't realize Supernatural had been on so long--it's very likely that Grimm was a ripoff/copy of it. Kinda cool car, though--I did buy the model. And, before that, the diecast!
  12. IMHO, it causes more problems than it solves. And a really good finish doesn't need it to start with.

  14. Last week, after a couple months of looking, I tracked down a hood, front bumper/grille, front valence panel, and rear bumper/taillight panel for this sad old glue bomb Cougar. All I'm missing to complete it are the taillights and the rear valence panel. The taillights are available from two different sources, and the rear valence panel shouldn't be too hard to scratchbuild. I can see this one jumping to the front of my To-Do List soon.
  15. Neither. Or, if you prefer, Never.
  16. Thanks! Might check that one out.
  17. Having chewed my way through Breaking Bad, Ozark, and Tiger King on Netflix, last night I watched the first two episodes of Supernatural. I'd never seen a single minute of the show before. I was not impressed, and won't be going through 320 episodes of the thing looking for a few good shots of a semi-cool car. If anyone can recommend any specific episodes where the car is especially featured or plays an important role, I could be persuaded to watch those.
  18. Very clean, very sharp work. Well done and model on!
  19. You're right about the Rev '67 roadster having a wedge shape. I think the real car might have this, and the AMT, MPC, and Monogram bodies have it too, but it's much more pronounced on the Rev '67 Roadster to the point that it's apparent to the naked eye. The front fender bulges on the '67 R aren't right and as you say, makes the model look like a caricature. But they're good on the '67 C and the two '63 snappers. I don't agree with you that the '63 roadster snapper shares this. The front fenders on it look exactly the same as on the coupe to me, and look right. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the quarter panels, they look good to me. The AMT and MPC bodies are very similar, and look good, but they're actually a little "sharper" than they should be. But we assume they're right because that's pretty much all we had to work with for 30 or 40 years, and they're what we're used to looking at. The Revell '63 snappers and their '67 coupe have the most accurate C2 kit bodies ever, IMHO.
  20. That whole rear end looks much better than either the AMT or Revell kits. Never noticed it till you mentioned putting the stripe on this one, but the SS396 on the front fenders is way too high. You'll have to take that off to put the stripe on. I've been looking for one of the these FG '69 Chevelles in Fathom Green for about a year now, no luck at all. I see red ones, and I think black ones.
  21. I'd be on the phone with them TODAY, telling them I want the product I ordered and PAID FOR FED EXed TOMORROW.
  22. I finished Ozark last week. Oh my, what a ride! It's right up there with Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and Sopranos--among the best TV I've ever seen. It's even jumped ahead of Justified, Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Ray Donovan, and Walking Dead on my list. I think my favorite character is Ruth. Moved on to Tiger King. With the exception of a couple of the lawyers and law enforcement people, everybody on that whole show should be rounded up and thrown into the cages with the lions and tigers and bears and simply forgotten about. What a bunch of slimebags!
  23. Snake45

    Deathmobile

Will that work? It's gotta work better than the truth. Still IMHO the funniest movie ever made. Nice model, BTW. Now you gotta do Otter's 'Vette to park next to it. Model on!
  24. Interesting! How do you know that the '67 body isn't too short? I know the '67 roadster kit has some real shape problems that they seemed to fix with the coupe body. I've never compared the '63 snappers with the '67s. Had no idea there was this difference, as both look good to my eye. I'm not sure this length difference would be apparent to the naked eye even if the two built models were sitting side by side on the shelf. Certainly not as much as either of them sitting next to the Monogram 1/24 '65. In other words, personally, I don't think I'll worry about correcting either one of them. (But I'll never build the '67 roadster again. I've accumulated several rebuildable AMT '67 roadsters, but if I wanted another Revell '67 roadster ever so bad, I'd create it by kitbashing the rear deck onto the '67 coupe body....)
