  1. Yeah, but I figgered if I posted that, I'd get all kinds of arguments.
  2. Now he needs a similar extension on the intake, and he can ford creeks!
  3. I have a vague recollection of catching that, what, 40 years ago?
  4. If you can see it, it gets painted, usually black. Otherwise, no.
  5. Brad Pitt? His rifle was a German Sturmgeweher (sp) 44, the world's first true "assault rifle" and sort of the inspiration for the AK-47. His pistol was a 1917 S&W in .45 ACP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StG_44
  6. Just bought and saw that last weekend. The gun stuff in it wasn't horrible, but the plot was pretty silly. Kinda liked it, though.
  7. Try being a "gun guy" and watching movies and TV. I don't think I've ever seen ONE that didn't have mistakes (or, in some cases, outright lies).
  8. Springsteen, Hungry Heart. Or maybe it's The Promised Land. Elvis Costello, Radio Radio.
  9. I think that's Bon Jovi. I'll Be There for You?
  10. It's like I typed that myself!
  11. Was looking at a 1966 Car Craft mag the other day. Back cover is an ad for '66 Barracuda, talks about and shows blue stripe tires, you can just barely see small Goodyear raised white letters on them.
  12. Very nice! Always cool to see these in other colors (than yellow). I did mine in metallic red. Cool little kit, isn't it?
  13. Beautiful!
  14. Is that the one about walking 500 miles?
  15. Very nice!
  16. James Taylor, Fire & Rain.
  17. Buddy Holly was a genius. He was years ahead of his time--so much so that when Linda Ronstadt covered his songs in the '70s, they sounded like new songs. I've often wondered what '60s music would have sounded like if he had lived. RIP Buddy--You did good.
  18. What the others said--fill it with styrene. Cut/shape to fit exactly and then glue it in with liquid cement. If you do it right, no putty will be necessary after sanding to contour. If you do need to do some filling, try superglue. It will never shrink.
  19. Queen, another one bites the dust.
  20. Here's another one, from a '60s Car Craft magazine:
  21. Will that alternator fit under the hood? Looks kinda tall.
  22. Forever Young?
  23. Built it, loved it. All I did was hacksaw off the front bumper mount, as I don't like front bumpers on '55 Chevs. The kit was a delight to nail together.
  24. Looks fine to me--very similar to what I'd do with it myself. Real Model Airplane Guys will have conniptions over your lack of seat belts. Seat Belt Fetishim is quite common in Model Airplane World, for some reason, even to the extent that they have a specific exception in the Out-Of-The-Box rules to let you add seat belts. I am NOT one of Those People, and laugh at their weird fetish, and happily build model airplanes without seat belts all the time. Model on!
